Not to take away from the discussion about commentary, but anyone else happy to hear that the weather is becoming "truly" more progressive, with the effects and changes happening from play to play, etc instead of after every quarter?

I see what you're saying, however I would think that then you are overly confining each comment. I'm not sure exactly what method they used as a visual but my understanding was that immersion played a significant part in their efforts this year while recording. I definitely get what you're getting at however I'm not sure that would get the results you're looking for necessarily.

By context I guess I mean more than down, distance & result. I think it was more detailed: 4th qtr, crucial drive, etc...

Yeah I think replicating a real life game commentary is going to be extremely difficult if not maybe impossible as no commentator does different games the same way.

But I do think they would get a better reaction if they gave them something visual to comment on, even if it was one play or scenario at a time, and maybe they did. You would just have to call less on Brad and Kirk "creating" emotion from a scenario on a piece of paper.

I am Smooth. I hated the quarter transitions. Definitely will be cool to see the shadows changing throughout the game and throwing into the sun in the 1st quarter and have it move away later in the game.

Will there be a blog coming out today?I'd like to hear more about the # of player faces/models, hairstyles, etc as well as the motion blur.Good stuff today, certainly not any "blow you away" information but it sounds like they have a good base for addressing some of the issue people have had the last couple years. Hopefully they keep the momentum going on the 17th

One question I have... they mentioned the Song Girls being in the game... and I'm sure everyone remembers a few years ago when the one Song Girl was caught on camera w/ out her panties on. So... just how realistic did they get the Song Girls???

Unless something has changed, my understanding is that it's only the lighting that will change throughout the game.

Glad they finally got the lighting from the sun, clouds, etc figured out, now like ryby, they need to get the actual weather (rain, snow) implemented so I can go from clear or partly cloudy to start and gradually turn to rain in the middle of the 2nd or 3rd quarter or something.
