Oh yes it is. My collection continues to grow. I now have a game worn jersey and pants from the Army-Navy game 2-3 years ago, one of Navy's regular gold helmets that I got back in 2008 I think it was, and now this helmet. This helmet is HUGE as hell too. It's a hell of a lot bigger than my gold helmet. From what I can tell, I think it's Schutt's Air XP helmet, and it has the Skydex 2-Thermoplastic Urethane Cushioning (TPU) in it, which looks sweet looking inside the helmet.

How does that nullify what I said? They buy me gifts for Christmas no matter how many times I tell them not to. It's just called I knew what gifts they were buying me ahead of time, besides the Walking Dead compendium. The fact is, if they hadn't bought me what they did, I would have ended up buying it for myself sometime over the next few months. If I don't have the money for it, I don't buy it until sometime further down the road in the future. Again, if a Christmas came and went and I didn't get a single thing, would I care? Not a damn bit.

Well, it's difficult to try and give stuff back when they won't take it back, and they "magically lose" the gift/return receipts. That said, what I'm trying to say is I wouldn't be the least bit sad if a Christmas came where I didn't get a single thing, because "that" Christmas has come and gone for me. I celebrate Christmas these days for the true reason behind it, not the gifts and cool new toys like I did as a kid.

However, as I still can't get my parents and family to realize that I don't really want anything for Christmas, no matter how many times I tell them year after year, they are going to continue buying me gifts each year regardless, so I end up accepting the gifts so as to not hurt them or their feelings by rejecting something they took the time or money to get me.

Otherwise, like I said, if there's something I want, I buy it with my own money. If I don't have the extra to spend on something, I wait until sometime down the road in the future when I do have the money and buy it then. Heck, I was just buying 2 or 3 DVDs for myself last Tuesday, because they were some DVDs that I wanted, and I had the spending/extra money to buy them.

So Christmas in terms of gifts and such, really no longer has any meaning to me, at least in terms of receiving. I personally love buying gifts for family and friends and seeing them smile or be happy at getting something they wanted. I have absolutely no problem doing that every year. As for wanting any gifts in return, I personally couldn't care less whether I get anything or not.

This perfectly sums about our modern generation of kids. I AM ENTITLED TO WHATEVER I WANT, WHENEVER I WANT IT AND I DON'T HAVE TO WORK FOR IT AND IF I DON'T GET IT, IT IS SOMEONE ELSE'S FAULT. Here's a thought kids... do something good for someone else and completely forget about yourself in the process.

I don't think the current generation is any different from the previous generation, or really the one before that. There have always been entitled kids. There always will be. The only real difference now is that they were given faces and names thanks to Twitter. And, once that comic started re-tweeting them, I'm not entirely sure how many of them were legitimate.


I got a decent amount of gifts for Christmas, but the real fun was in what I gave my parents, and spending the week with them. It wasn't the best week in the world (for personal reasons that I won't get into here), but I'm glad I stayed as long as I did. It was also fun to see the extended family and spend the little time I get to with them. As others have said, I didn't "need" any of the gifts I got ... anything I didn't get that I wanted will just be bought soon enough either way ... but my parents enjoy getting me gifts, and I'm not going to reject that.
