    Not really. It's a pretty self-contained story.

Only thing you need to know about Skyrim is, whatever you decide you want to do combat-wise, it's a viable option (even as far as going around punching the fuck out of people). Bethesda did a great job of making every way of killing shit a viable one.

I would recommend, since you enjoy Assassin's Creed so much, you should try going with a stealthy build with daggers. They added some REALLY cool assassination combat cutscenes with daggers and sneak attacks.

Sweet. I'll keep that in mind. I just got done installed Skyrim, MW3 and Halo all onto my hard drive, so with that all taken care of and out of the way for the future, I'm about to jump into Skyrim right now.

Might want to uninstall Skyrim from the Hard Drive until the patch is out.

Trust me it is really noticeable as I have played it installed and uninstalled. Leaving it uninstalled until the patch.

i'm in the same boat. never played any game in this series before, but i am absolutely loving this game right now.

i'd take the advice that mors said about using a dagger and sneak based person. there's a perk you can later get in the sneak tree that allows dagger based sneak attacks to do 15X the base damage. i'd also recommend finding a companion that's one or two handed attack based.

    Baby Named After Skyrim

Skyrim was a hotly anticipated title from Bethesda, and rightly so. Critics have loved the newest Elder Scrolls title, and sales have shown that fans of the series love it as well. However, I think we’ve now found the ultimate fans. As reported on the Bethesda Blog, they have announced that the child of Megan and Eric Kellermeyer was named Dovahkiin (translated from dragon-speak means Dragonborn. Little Dovahkiin was born on the release date of Skyrim (11/11/11) and the parents will receive a lifetime supply of Bethesda Games. A little extreme to name your kid after Skyrim if you ask me, but to each their own. I’ve always considered myself a bit of a nerd, but this makes me look pretty normal.

Just tried it and it worked perfectlyfor me. One thing tho, don't use when it is night time as it is very difficult to make out locations. Also, the view is skewed in that you can only move so for as you try to rotate the view and zoom in. You can press "E" in the view for a quick reset.

Meh, they gave the kid a normal middle name so the kid will probably just use that instead of Dovahkiin.

Someone has WAY too much time on their hands...

Speaking of having too much time on my hands, I just started over cause I got bored of playing sword and board with my Khajit (level 30) and going doublefisted magic now with a Breton (lvl 4). Yup, way too much time on my hands, but magic is just too much fun to pass up.

Just finished watching Behind The Wall: The Making of Skyrim. Pretty interesting stuff, though I wish it was a bit longer (only 40 minutes long).

I've played this WAY too much in the past couple of days. Starting to get burnt out on it.
