I'm not a Star Wars honk, outside of Ep's 4-6, I don't really care. But I decided to spend my eBay bucks I earned on this.

I bought it for PC and hated the controls... am I missing something? I couldn't get past 15 minutes into the game before I gave up on it.

Yeah. The PC port is ATROCIOUS. Buy the Xbox game and play it on the 360. Works WAY better.

I think before my eBay bucks it was $15 so you can easily find it for that price from a decent seller if you look enough.

Anyone think Video Game Consoles will not make survive 2020?

Popular video game systems such as the Wii,PlayStation and Xbox may still be in homes next decade, but they will look much different. Rather than buy a separate console, Enderle expects that consumers will instead buy smart televisions with a gaming system built into it, not to mention tablets and smartphones that will continue to ramp up their gaming options.“It looks like analog game systems won’t make it until the end of the decade,” Enderle says. “You are already seeing the Wii have a tough time holding on to the market and PlayStation has been struggling for a while.”
The gaming systems that will succeed in the future will be those that manage to move away from being focused solely on video games and more on other entertainment options such as movies, evolving from a traditional game console into more of a set-top box.

They've been saying that for years. That's a lot of contract stuff that they'll have to work out. I just don't see it happening. No way Micro$oft is going to be willing to share their profits with 20 different television makers just so they don't have console expenses.

For Sony, it might make sense, since they are a television manufacturer already (though it is a separate part of their company from their video game section), but there's no way Nintendo and Micro$oft are gonna go that route.

It's one of those mediums where the consumer these days still doesn't mind having that physical disc. Though, I have never seen any kind of sales figures for digital sales of full retail games....I have a feeling they are pretty poultry. I don't think we'll see this until the next generation of gamers 20 years down the road or more.

Unfortunately, there's no way of knowing how digital sales are doing through Steam because Valve never releases them. While there are estimations that Valve is 70% of the market share of digital media sales, it's basically impossible to what that equates to in sales numbers.

I will say this, because of something like Steam, I think PC game sales are pretty much only digital anymore. Steam allows you to pre-download the game but not play it without it being unlocked (day of release). Steam has ridiculous sales on games weeks after they have been out. I wouldn't be surprised if close to 50% of the sales for PC games is digitally through Steam or Amazon's download service. It's like you get every game you'd want to buy at the midnight release date. Why would you wait for the physical copy of it?

Yeah I was thinking more of full game sales from XBOX and PS3....to me they're too expensive, and most games don't even become digitally available until months after release.

That's because Micro$oft and Sony are still prescribing to the super old way of doing business instead of pushing toward the future of gaming (aka digital only releases).

I need some advice. I will be buying Uncharted 3 on release but want to buy something else for this Thursday when I'm off work. I can't decide between Rage, Batman, and Battlefield 3.

I don't play multiplayer and only play these game for the campaign. Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards Rage but not 100% sure.

If you want depth/length, I'd go Batman... Rage was pretty shallow and not all that long. If you love guns & shooters, then Rage is probably your answer. I don't have any input on BF3.

RAGE was a huge disappointment for me. If you've played Borderlands, you have no reason to play RAGE as it's just a really poor version of Borderlands.

Battlefield 3 is getting horrible reviews for the singleplayer experience as it's just like Call of Duty in that it's horrible scripted shit that lasts 5-10 hours with no reason to play it more than once.

Batman is getting ridiculously good reviews and is being heralded as the best Superhero game EVER. Pretty easy choice in my opinion (and I HATED the first Batman game because of how linear it was).

Thanks Mors. I just read another review on Batman and based on what you and G said I think Batman is a slam dunk.
