NCAA Football 12 Patch #2 Now Available

Have they ever said WHY this is in the game like this? Has there ever in the history of recruiting been a 5-star recruit in his SR season of HS football with ZERO offers? LOL! Well there are a HANDFUL of them in the EA game EVERY year... if its in the game, its in the game!

I have not seen this explained directly from them before. I believe that is something that can be done through tuning thankfully. I'll see if it is something they can do here.

I never noticed it in any of my OD's because I just didn't even think of going after any recruits....I rarely even try to go after recruits either.

Well my OD only has 2 HUMANS remember so if you play in an OD with like 12 you will likely NEVER see this. It seems very prevalent at WR and ATH positions this year.

Keyser, a new theory/test for you. CLW ran into the same issue in the TGT PS3 OD and according to him, after he set himself to Ready to Advance, he was then able to go in and talk his players into staying. We haven't advanced yet so it's not 100% certain that it worked but currently at least sounds like it's a possibility.

To do that though, you'd obviously have to transfer the commissioner duties to your buddy, then set yourself to ready since if you're the commissioner, setting yourself ready advances the week.

Just a thought and something to try.

Question, don't you have to do all your saving at once? Meaning, if I go into that screen and only save one guy and back out will it let me go back into the players leaving list again and try to save someone else?

(You may have already replied to this, but ...) No, you definitely don't need to do all players at once. I've done a player or two, backed out, completely left and turned off the game, then went back in later on and finished up. It's the same, conceptually at least, as being able to do only part of your recruiting at a time. I'm not sure how it works, technically, but the only thing I think you have to do "all at once" is play your game

Too many people would take it offline and then sim ahead forward to see how recruits panned out, see what recruits interests were, etc. so it created a very unfair advantage for anyone who did that.

This is very interesting to me. While that was one of my regular strategies in NCAA 09 and NCAA 10, I found it much less effective in NCAA 11. Very few guys that weren't at least on the CPU's boards and being tracked. Most of the time if I started paying attention to what looked like an "easy get", he would get a CPU scholarship offer the next week. The CPU does keep some schollies in reserve, and I think that's part of the reason.

I will try this at lunch and let you know. I don't get at all why this would help. But I will hit ready to advance and then try to keep them and back out. Appreciate your efforts to pass along the info.

On another note, did you guys know that the commish can edit his players ratings, but I don't think any other user can. I saw this pre-patch and kept forgetting to ask about it. I asked anotehr user in my dynasty and he said he wasn't aware of it.

That was requested, but now Post Patch 2, supposedly the commish can edit anyone's ratings, including CPUs. I haven't tested it but I also haven't heard any complaints that it doesn't work.

Yes... that is the one that the solution I posted from Solidice would actually "fix". You would need to have one of your OD members try to access the OD and then make sure they save the week's save file. Then, go into File Management, and Load the save file for your OD. That will then create a copy of your OD with that person as the commissioner. It will put you at the beginning of the week that they have a save file for. You would then want to be sure that everyone retire from the previous OD and/or you retire from it as the commissioner.

Ok, SO NOTHING worked so I finally DELETED the game from my xbox and CLEARED the cash..... Huston I have a NEW PROBLEM. Now the Fing game is telling me that my CODE has already been used and I have to BUY a NEW ONE!!!! LOL! I shit you not, I almost broke my controller for the first time ever and if there had been someone in my living room from EA they would have swallowed my controller for sure.

So my NEW problem is HOW DO I GET MY GAME CODE to work again because it will be a cold day in HELL before I buy a new one! Anyone?

I will check back in the morning, I just spent the last 2 hours of my life FAILING with EA and that is enough.... time to spend some time with people in the real world and not swear at EA any more tonight.

I don't know about on Xbox, but on PS3, you just go back into the store and you can view your purchases that will allow you to re-download them. Just redownload the "purchase" (the system considers it a purchase even though it's free), and you should be set.

This can also be done through the console but this is the way to do it from your computer.

Seems like the more advanced technology gets, the more EA screws everything up. Heck, I had less trouble then this playing dynasties with my buddy BEFORE ONLINE dynasties existed. We would use our computers to send the saved files back and forth which was a pain but NOT this painful!

I wouldn't think your OD is ruined... so long as your OD buddy is either the commissioner or still has the save file, you should be able to get back up & running.

I definitely get the frustration though... what makes it worse is that you would think these types of issues would have cropped up in NCAA09 (first OD year), not the fourth year of the feature.

So I did the procedure that bdoughty wrote out above and I recovered my code..... however, when I went back into the dynasty and added a single player to my list... TRANSFER FAILED once again, forces me OUT of dynasty!!!! WOW, so totally deleting everything about the game and clearing my cache didn't fix it. Got to hand it to EA, their bugs are totally FIX PROOF!!! LOL! Well there goes another 30 minutes of my life in total frustration.

Thanks everyone here for your help. You are all about 1000 times more helpful then EA.
