Arkansas State signs 7 important targets during their Big Pack weekend in Week 5. With only room for a small class this season, there are 3 more guaranteed to sign and after that, coaches will have to see what kind of room they can make.

TE

Arkansas State coaches were bound & determined to find a big-time Tight End this recruiting class and when they found Williams in their backyard, they put all their effort into signing him. Listed as a blocking TE, he also has great hands and can run over defenders. He's perfect for what the Red Wolves are looking to add to their offense.

Williams will start the moment he steps on campus and will be an instant difference maker.

He received offers from Notre Dame, Tulsa, Alabama, & Florida State.

Like Williams at TE, ASU coaches also wanted to find a stud DT, though moreso for the future and not necessarily have to start immediately. Foster is an excellent DT with very good strength, Power Moves, and the ability to wrap up and make a tackle.

He'll redshirt his first year on campus so that he can work on his ability to find the ball and chase down the ball-carrier.

Foster's other offers were Ole Miss, Arkansas, UCF, & North Texas.

Coaches are impressed with not only Gilmore's coverage abilities but also his ability to take down ball-carrier. He's exactly what ASU was looking for in a project Free Safety... speed, zone coverage, and ability to get off blocks.

He'll redshirt for a year, then play backup for a year, then will likely become the starter as a RS Soph.

Gilmore's other offer was from Cincinnati.
HB

#8HB
With current HB Alex Turner set to graduate after 2017, coaches needed to have a plan in place for his replacement. Rawls has the same tough running that Turner does but has better hands to hold onto the ball.

He'll redshirt for a year but then after that become the change of pace back to compliment Hunter or Simmons' speed.

Rawl's only other offer was from Troy.
OLB

Arkansas State wasn't necessarily in search of an LB but after finding Fitzpatrick, they certainly weren't going to turn him away.

He'll redshirt for a year to allow him to work specifically on his ability to wrap-up a tackle. Otherwise, he's a stud.

Fitzpatrick received offers from Arizona and South Florida.

Young played both ways in high school as a CB and HB. ASU coaches are intrigued by his running abilities but noticed on film that once defenders got their hands on him, he was going down, though not before punishing them. That said, he'll play CB for the Red Wolves.

He'll redshirt his first year and likely play a reserve role in 2017.

Young also received offers from Tennessee, Texas, and Oregon.
DE

Jones is a tweener between OLB and DE. He plays much better with his hand in the dirt than he does standing up so coaches plan to put him at DE. With great speed, good strength, and very good ability to avoid blockers, he'll be terrorizing the offensive backfield in no time.

Coaches would like to redshirt him for a year but he may be needed for depth purposes as a true Freshman.

Jones also received offers from Arizona State, Texas, LSU, and UCLA.
