Very nice upgrade here, especially for PS3 owners. Menus in the past have been so slow and so buggy that it made simple navigation a painful labor. I like the fact that they toned down the busyness of the background and kept things simple in order to improve menu performance. That's a small change that will have a big impact IMO.
Yeah this will be huge for navigating while recruiting, and as TKO said, rosters.

I agree menu navigation on the ps3 sucked money balls and always took for ever to log you into EA server as well as bring you into the main menu. It looked nice load very slow. I always had to walk away or do something while it loaded that should never happen .. I'm glad it is fixed now!

Check out the TE downfield blocking at the 4:50 mark of the video. It's a zone block stretch play and the TE ends up free so instead of standing around getting in the RB's way he heads downfield and blocks the CB on the outside. He does it naturally, instinctually, quickly. Unfortunately the WR doesn't do so well on the play running right by the same CB (already engaged with the TE) and heading downfield to block nobody. I'm very impressed with that and very encouraged, I just wish the WR would have either engaged in a double-team on the CB to seal the outside or headed inside sooner to block a safety or a pursuing player. Good stuff!!

Unfortunately on the very next play, a toss sweep to the right with the RG pulling, the RG #58 pulls correctly but runs right by a LB. They bump shoulders but the RG makes no attempt to block him instead letting him get into the backfield to make the tackle. Hmm.

What's up with the punt at the 5:30 mark? It looks like the ball bounces but then it's magically in the hands of the return man. It's hard to see exactly what happened but it doesn't look right.

I know I'm nitpicking, sorry to those who don't want to read this stuff. This is what happens when there is only one video to watch.

Nitpick away...that's how things get fixed. ...not to mention you're being civil about it.

I'm on the opposite end as I hardly pick up on any of the issues. Ignorance is bliss.

I'm pretty sure that he caught it normally (but had to run up to it since the punter shanked it and I don't think that's the return guy, but one of the blockers) but it looks weird because of the bad zoom cam angle.

I can't wait to see the coordinator cam. I really don't see how anyone can play on the zoom cam. Defenders come flying into the screen from out of nowhere and before you even have time to react to them they're already tackling you.

WR blocking looks really good in this video. I'm loving it. Check out the WR blocks on the play at the 5:55 mark. OSU has two guys on the right side of the formation. The inside WR blocks his man out of the screen while the outside WR engages with his CB well and maintains his block throughout the play. So awesome!

I've heard from TSO game changers that the downfield blocking is REALLY solid this year.

The touchdown at the 8:00 mark seems a little weird. It's an option play and the QB immediately has a HUGE hole right up the middle which I think 99 times out of 100 a QB is taking that hole but instead the CPU QB hesitates then makes a very awkward pitch to a guy that has a DE nearly on him but he's able to get around him and score. Seems like the CPU out-thought itself on that play. Would have probably been a score either way though so I guess the point is moot.

What I liked about it was that it did look like the CPU QB thought about it. I'm not sure it was the best decision, but it looked like the AI did make a decision. Bad decisions are cool when they look like the AI is really thinking and not just broken. If that makes sense. This has me very hopeful for vast improvements in the CPU AI this year.

Makes sense and I agree with you. Decision-making is a good thing, even if they're sometimes the wrong decisions. Players aren't perfect in the real world so it's nice when the CPU isn't either.

EA rarely (if ever) shows anything they do on Sony consoles. I doubt we EVER see EA ever really even mention Sony/PS again other than the initial it will launch on XB1, PS4, 360, PS3 consoles.
