NBA Live 16 - October 29 Roster Update

A new roster update is now available for NBA LIVE 16. This update includes player movement and accessory changes for the start of the NBA season.

A spreadsheet with some of the changes can be found at the official product website.

This update also unlocks some new uniforms, including the Pistons' "Detroit Chrome" and Oklahoma City's "Sunset Orange" alternates.

This concept of not allowing roster edits is simply garbage. I could understand the complaint about it affecting Synergy IF that actually worked in terms of changing tendencies and making teams and players play more like their real life counterparts. But I don't see evidence that it works or that the old attributes in Live 10 could have been done the same way. Let us edit rosters! To force people to hold off on starting a dynasty until after the season starts for their first roster update and then actually seeing the poor update is frustrating.

For Detroit they still have Dinwiddie listed as a Sg. He's a PG. Tolliver is a PF. They still have Granger who was cut on their roster! And Anthony is missing. The ratings are bad. Backups rated higher than starters. Meeks is not higher than KCP. he needs to be reduced. I guess they don't care about Pistons fans at all. When you take away roster edits the roster guys better do a much better job than this. Not good at all. I thought I still had the old roster file until I see Thompson on the Cavs. I don't think they even touched Detroit.

EA, look at a real depth chart and fix this please!

First post now updated with more information and link to spreadsheet with some details.

Rudy: It appears this update was solely rosters, accessories, and unlocking some alternate uniforms. Doesn't appear any ratings, positions, lineups, etc. were changed based on this sheet.


The sheet also doesn't include all accessory updates as I've noticed McDermott (CHI) has his leggings/tights added, but they are not listed. Also, the alternate uniforms unlocked were also not detailed.

I'm excited about the Detroit chrome uniforms. They are wearing them against the Bulls tonight.

But they made no roster moves for the Pistons! Granger was cut and is still on the team. Joel Anthony is missing. And some guys are in the wrong position. For a first roster update on a game that doesn't allow you to edit the rosters this is very disappointing.

Oh, wow - that's worse than I thought, Rudy. Those weren't even recent moves, were they?

Granger was cut on the final day but it was expected since he was hurt and didn't play a game yet. Still hurt. The wrong position for a couple guys is odd unless they have max guys by position.

Any word on when the next update will be? If it's a long wait I want to start my dynasty. The Pistons chrome uniforms ate nice to have as an option.

I would assume next Thursday, Rudy. That was the schedule last year but I don't know if that will change for 16.
