Formation Subs

I know you can't do fornation subs until you actually play a game but after that are they automatically saved or do I have to do them every time I play a game? I mostly play offline and exhibition mode. Thanks for any help!

In a Dynasty I believe you can get them to save via a Dynasty Mode menu, but offline and in exhibitions, I'm pretty sure you have to change them each game.
