What exactly is zone blocking(im only 13) i play and start in real life football but i dont know what zone blocking is.
Zone Blocking can be summarized by saying that a lineman's assignment is to block an area. Either he gets the guy lining up directly across or he works to get upfield to get the first free defender seen.Originally Posted by dhook27
Man blocking assigns each lineman a specific defender to block, and will vary depending on the defensive formation and how they react to the offensive play.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some nuances but that's the basics as I remember them.
