you can add a defensive coordinator spot for USC. its all but official that monte kiffin will not be with the coaching staff next year.

edit: not sure if this was meant for head coaches only.

Pretty much just do tracking for head coaches as if we included coordinators it would become a mess. Obviously anyone can reply to track a coordinator but it won't be a part of the table at the top.

That said, if Phillips or Dooley or any other HC winds as a coordinator, I'll try to add that to the reason column as a second article whenever noted.

My sources say Arkansas has made an offer to ESPN pro analyst Jon Gruden.

Gruden would be stupid as hell to go back to college.

Even more so because he has absolutely not ties to Arkansas at all. They must be incredibly desperate.

Tennessee plans to throw money at the problem
    http://joshandwill.com/joshandwill_b...-in-athletics/

To me that says they're ready to get into a bidding war with Arkansas for Gruden or Kentucky/Auburn for Petrino.

Not going to matter when Kelly bolts for the NFL. The ugly uniforms will get their choice so everyone else will be playing second fiddle to Nike's $ machine out in the Pacific Northwest.

I honestly think Gruden may not coach again. But I'm probably in the minority there.

I'll be very surprised if he's ever a college coach... first off, I just don't see where on his resume makes schools think that he'll be a good college coach. Sure he had success in the NFL and his name will carry him so far, but recruiting, dealing with college age kids on a weekly basis, etc. I don't think he's equipped for that.

I don't know why the hell he'd want to. He's been out of coaching for a long while now, so it's not like Urban Meyer where he got out but you knew it was only a matter of a year or two before he'd be back. Gruden's got a nice gig set up with ESPN. Why would he want to deal with all the bullshit of college football, or deal once again with all the bullshit and all the pampered babies of today's NFL.

Cutcliffe knows how to put any rumor to rest...
    http://www.coachingsearch.com/home/1...ent-means.html

"I just wanted to put it to rest because I knew the answer," Cutcliffe said. "I told (my team) it's not appropriate to talk about another school. All I can tell you is that I'm more than happy where I am. I'm Duke's coach, gonna be Duke's coach. I'm 100 percent telling you I will not go anywhere period. It's put to rest. It's over with.

"I'm not being honorable, I just didn't want anything to disrupt what we're doing. I feel very strongly about this program, about the people in this program. I feel very strongly about the future of this program. I feel strongly about the players, the administrators, the staff, the coaches. I wanted that very clear in that room at that moment. I felt very strongly about the people that we're recruiting. I made sure they knew Sunday night.

"In this era of the word, 'de-commitment', which merely means you've never been committed, I don't care much for that word, it was a great opportunity to make a point to a bunch of young people that do need to learn more in their lives what commitment means, because they don't see enough of that."

Theoretically, we could include "name" coordinators. Basically coordinators at Top 25/BCS schools.
