Yawns continues its dominance throwing the rock at will. 1st Quarter stats 10/12 for 212 Yards and 3 TDs as the Cougars cruise.

Baylor just can't catch a break. Losing in 3OT 52-44 to Texas Tech to fall to 0-4.

    FYI...
I'll be on vacation starting Friday 9/28-10/6. I'll need to go on autopilot.

The California Golden Bears suffered a painful loss against #1 USC. Cal had a 24-10 lead with four minutes to go, as true freshman wideout Grant McClain had three touchdown catches. Two plays after Cal kicked a short field goal to extend the lead to 14, USC threw a 75-yard touchdown, as the receiver was a good five yards behind the cornerback. Cal went three-and-out on the next series, hampered by a false start and RB Brendan Bigelow diving to haul in an errant screen pass for a six-yard loss. USC marched downfield again and Marquise Lee hauled in a touchdown pass with a minute left to tie the game. Cal then fumbled the kickoff, and USC recovered at the Cal 28-yard-line Even though Cal had all of its timeouts left, Cal's coach refused to call time out while USC kept running the ball to grind out the clock, and USC hit a short field goal with three seconds left. But at least Cal had all three timeouts left...

On the bright side, Cal's top recruiting target, Maurice Jackson (#2 CB - 79 overall) committed before the game. He will challenge for a starting position next fall.
