SC93 - What is your schedule like Tuesday or Wednesday evening/night?
I can go around 8 pm est Wednesday, unless something comes up.

Just finished an absolutely infuriating game against Washington State where the Cal defensive coordinator effectively sabotaged my team with its defensive playcalling down the stretch. After a back-and-forth game, Cal took a 20-17 lead with about 2:15 to go. Of course, the secondary lets a Wazzu receiver get about 10 yards behind them to haul in an easy touchdown to take a 24-20 lead with about 1:10 to go. It gets worse... Cal scored with 30 seconds to take a 26-24 lead (and then promptly blew the extra point, then gave up a 35 yard kick return). Wazzu had the ball at Cal 44-yard line with 5 seconds left. The defense set up in a 3 deep zone... and blitzed two of the deep safeties on the Hail Mary, while three linebackers stood in place right next to each other 10 yards out.
The end result: three Washington State receivers were fighting over who would catch the Hail Mary, with one defender 15 yards behind them. Adding insult to injury, even though the game should have ended immediately, they went for the two-point conversion with no time on the clock.
I'm trying to post some photos, but not quite sure how to embed them in here (can someone let me know how to get them from the EA site onto here?)

I'm not sure how in the hell that should ever happen. You can't defend against that at all.
I'm embarrassed having even watched that, could only imagine how pissed I'd be if I was playing it.
Dukie98 - Do you watch a lot of defensive plays? It's tough to tell, but I think you may have been hit by bad playcalling and/or the Zone Coverage bug.
Yes- most if not all. This doesn't seem to just be overly aggressive coverage -- the safeties were blitzing from 30 yards downfield in a situation where it makes zero tactical sense to do so. That seems to be a playcalling/ strategic issue.Originally Posted by cdj

yea d coordinator on my team makes boneheaded calls too...some games he's on and some games just leave me scratching my head and wanting to break all kinds of sht. Thing is if I don't watch the games the D gives up big plays more often (at least it feels like they do). And then there's that dumb aggressive zone glitch. Still haven't figured out a workaround other than changing it every possession. Surprised this made it into this version. I know it was reported last year.
