Great game CDJ, turnovers I think were the difference.
Cal suffered another disappointing loss to Nevada, 17-14. Although the running game was a vast improvement over the first week, QB Zack Maynard struggled again with turnovers. Cal appeared to take the lead with four minutes left, when freshman wideout Darius Powe hauled in a pass at the back of the end zone, yet was inexplicably ruled out of bounds (and the game didn't allow Cal to challenge the call). Maynard threw an interception at the goal line on the next play, and Nevada ran out the clock, as Cal's linebackers struggled all day with their tackling. At this rate, the Bears will struggle to even make a bowl game.
Froze up in supersim using the sim until on field option. I see that is pretty much a don't touch option again this year. Luckily it was only the second quarter so I had it in me to try again right away...
Pitt gets their first win of the year, beating the Bearcats 20-16 in rain soaked Cincinnati. Running game was only good for about 2.9 a carry. I managed to keep my QB healthy all game and put up decent numbers considering the rain. My offensive line better play better or I don't see him staying healthy very often.
Looking forward to Cal coming into town next week. Dukie, I can play Friday or Saturday evening, and I'm available all day Sunday.
