#14 Texas A&M marched into Death Valley and defeated the underachieving LSU Tigers 27-7. The Aggies' defense held the Tigers in check all game, as they did not give up a first down until the third quarter, kept the Tigers off the scoreboard until the final two minutes, and added a defensive touchdown when cornerback Floyd Raven returned a fumble 67 yards to break the game open early in the third quarter.

Mister Jones led the Aggies with 98 yards on the ground, and he punched in a 7-yard touchdown run to open the scoring. The Aggies added two field goals to take a 13-0 lead into halftime. LSU appeared poised to make it a game early in the third quarter, as they drove to the Aggies 30-yard line, but Raven scooped up a fumbled pitch on an ill-advised option play and returned it to extend the lead to 20-0. The Aggies added another touchdown when Johnny Manziel hit freshman wideout Devon Turner for a 20-yard touchdown. The Tigers finally scored with a little over a minute in the game, converting on 4th and 15 from the 17-yard line.
