When it comes to College Football, Two questions always come to mind: "What if?" and "Where was I?"
So I was watching ESPN recently and saw that College Football Live is doing a "What if" series, going through some of the greatest moments in college football history and wondering how things would be different if they never happened.
After all that, I pose the question to you: What are your school's "what if" or "Where was I when it happened" moments?
What if Tom Osborne had taken the job at Colorado earlier in his career?
Forgot to post mine. What if Maurice Clarett had a better head on his shoulders and wasn't constantly in trouble?
What if Michigan doesn't lose to App State?
What if Larry Lacewell had stuck around as head coach to see us to our transition to Division 1A? What if he hadn't convinced Tommy Tuberville to not take the job?
What if we had beaten Arkansas in the 1987 NIT (i.e. what if the refs hadn't screwed us)?
As for my "Where was I?", I was there:
What if Clint Stoerner didn't fumble the ball at Tennessee in '98?
What if Pat McAfee didn't miss his three easy field goals against Pittsburgh in 2007 and we won our final game to be #1 in the nation and play for a national title?

What if Penn State didn't join the Big 10 until '95 and wasn't forced to play in the Rose Bowl after '94? This "What if" also appears on Nebraska's "Thank God" list.
What if Joe Paterno took the Steelers job in 1969 (thank goodness he didn't for both sides)?
What if the Steelers didn't pass on hometown boy Dan Marino in the '83 draft?

What if Michael Jenkins dropped the pass at Purdue and 'Holy Buckeye' never happened?
What if Michigan would of beat Iowa in week 4?
What if Michigan had hired someone other than Rich Rod?

What if John Cooper had taken the job at LSU in 1995, rather than returning to Ohio State?
( Those of you that are long-time Utopians may remember that I originally planned to make a dynasty around that entire premise. )

What if my man, Derrick Nix, never sprained his ankle.
For those who never heard of Derrick Nix, he was our BEAST of a running back sprained his ankle, took prescribed Celebrex, and almost died (and no, not from an overdose). The Celebrex caused his kidneys to malfunction and he ended up getting a kidney transplant from his brother. Click the link in my first sentence as Sports Illustrated wrote an story on him. Had Baby Bull (that's what we called him in school) stayed healthy, I have a hard time believing that Damion Fletcher, as good as he was, would be our all time leading rusher.

What if Willis McGahee didn't blow his knee out in the National Championship game against OSU?
What if Lloyd Carr had kept the ship true instead of leaning since 2000?We would probably be at the top of the Big Ten right now
What if Brian Robiskie doesn't drop a touchdown pass against LSU which would have put Ohio State up 17-0? (The play eventually led to a blocked FG which swung the momentum of the game)
