The Razorbacks defeat the #1 team in the country on the road for the 2nd time this season by a score of 27-16. Heisman front-runner Knile Davis rushed for 70 yards before pulling his groin in the 2nd quarter. Junior QB Tyler Wilson struggled while throwing 2 INTs and had the Hogs' faithful worried, but the defense and senior RB Broderick Green saved the day. The defense (who gave up 100 rushing yards to Trent Richardson in the 1st quarter) stepped up and held the Crimson Tide to 173 total yards, 4-18 passing and 1-11 on 3rd down. Broderick Green rushed for 130 yards on 25 carries and scored 3 TDs. Senior DE Jake BeQuette posted 2 sacks as the Hogs' D had 11 TFL. The #9 Arkansas Razorbacks (#3 in the AP Poll) improve to 5-0 and will host the #4 Texas A&M Aggies while hosting 11 recruits....2:30pm central on ESPN or ABC (check your local listing).

    Texas 34, Ohio State 0

    Key Stats:
    5 INTs (16-34-167)
    11 rushing yards (25 carries)

That about sums it up for the Buckeyes. Couldn't stop Malcolm Brown - about 250 total yards for the true frosh. Had a chance to have only a 10-0 deficit at the half, but whiffed on a 80 yard pass to Brown, and he was gone, then forced an INT and trailed 20-0 at the half, and then watched as Brown scored again in the third.

Best play of the day for the Buckeyes were punt returns by Jamaal Berry. Almost broke one.

It was a close game, home cooking and a stingy defense gave Texas the win. My offense certainly didn't get the win for me.

    Prime and E remain.

PSU has its way against Temple though the big play is still haunting them as PSU gave up a 73yd td run by Pierce and also a big pass play to set up Temple's other TD.

I've got to play better assignment football here as we are going to be hitting the meat of the schedule very soon.
