Resident Evil: Anniversary Edition (aka a MOTHERLOAD of RE)

    Via Kotaku:

Capcom is celebrating Resident Evil's 15th anniversary with a collection that is sure to make American gamers jealous.

The Biohazard 15th Anniversary Box contains just about all of the Resident Evil goodness that gamers could want. Set to release on September 8 in Japan, here's what purchasers will get.

•PS1 copies of Resident Evil: Director's Cut, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3: Last Escape
•Resident Evil: Revival Selection for PS3, which reportedly contains HD remakes of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica: Director's Cut
•Soundtracks to Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica
    •15th anniversary pins and stickers
The collection will cost ¥7,800 ($97). There's no word on whether the set will see a western release, or if Capcom has something else planned for other regions. If the company does, I hope it contains less PS1 copies and more games I can play on modern hardware -- but I guess the purpose of a collection isn't necessarily to play the games it contains.
Kinda hoping this comes to the U.S. eventually.

I have to say I am looking forward to the new resident evil, I think my taste has changed as with the last one I wasn't a fan of just standing there whenever I had to shoot. I dont think I would like the PS1 versions of this either, I can actually agree with the reviews on that one.
