As they say, payback is a bitch. I'd crawled back to take the lead on him after being +180 up Week 1 and as far down as -100 in Week 3. Then I get back to a +1 in Week 6, and somehow he commits to Alabama. Not entirely sure how that happened.

Jeff and i are playing today as well.

Wow, playing a rival and dominating was key in landing 7 of the recruits in for the visit. I also gained 3 soft commits this week too.

Yeah, in the first half it felt about right and I was up 24-0. Then in the second half when I started to pull away the running game got really easy. All the rushing yards for the quarterbacks were off of zone read, most in the second half.

I had around 150 yards rushing in the first half so you can imagine what the second half was like.

    I am still tweaking however.

i had made a suggestion of upping the run block 5 and rush defense 10... add another 5 to pass blocking and 5 points to pass defense per my tests on these... i called the second time i tried these out...

the need for elevated pass cov is that crossing/slant/out routes can really create ridiculous separation if you throw on time really well... and i mean on the first 2 steps of the settle heading into the break... just suggestions but i stand by my findings... even i put up 499 on the ground with a team ive been hitting 500 yards through the air with and hardly hitting 150 on the ground... lol

Coach PSUSnoop continues his winning streak against Coach JeffHCross (now at 5 games), coming back against Ohio State to win 45-42.

The story of the game was the end of both halves. At the end of the first half, Ohio State led 28-21 and quickly moved down the field to set up a 44 yard field goal attempt with only 1 second remaining on the clock. However, one of the Ohio State blockers let the inside man free, and that Nitanny Lion blocked the kick.

Ohio State received the ball to begin the second half, but went three and out, punting for the first time all game. This would have a significant impact on the rest of the game, with two consecutive Buckeye drives netting 0 points.

With 4:58 left in the game, Ohio State senior QB Joe Germaine threw a touchdown pass to Ken-Yon Rambo that Rambo managed to catch on the deflection. However, the eyes of Buckeye Nation were not on the end zone, but instead on the 13 yard line, where Germaine lay in pain. In his first game since returning from injury, Germaine was hurt again. Both injuries occurred on touchdown passes, in fact.

Penn State would go on to tie the game again at 42 with 2:54 left. But Mark Garcia took the field for the Buckeyes and was unable to get a first down. Ohio State gambled on 4th down with 1:41 remaining ... a gamble that they lost. Jamar Martin was stopped on his bid to manage a fake punt, and the Nittany Lions took the ball at the 34 yard line. After rushes that used all of Ohio State's timeouts and chewed up all but two yards of the field, Penn State kicker D. Covington kicked the game winner through the uprights as time expired.

After the game, Coach JeffHCross was questioned by Columbus media on the playcall:
"It was my choice, and it was a bad call. If I could do it over again, I wouldn't have made that call."
    "You would have punted away?"
"Certainly not. It was 42-42 with just under two minutes left. Our defense was dog tired and had only forced one punt all game. The team that had the ball last was going to win. And with an unprepared backup quarterback, I wasn't confident of our changes in overtime. But I would have called a running play and given us a better opportunity to convert. The fake punt is just completely ineffective, and I should have known that."

Ohio State: 448 total offense, 410 passing.
Penn State: 512 total offense, 372 passing, 140 rushing.

Soon to be lower than #2 Ohio State now begins the long trek through the rest of the Big Ten conference with only beating Michigan worth fighting for.
