FIU outlasts FCSE 42-28. Some poor pass coverage by FIU leads to 14 easy points but consistent play at HB and QB leads the way to the dub.

    Keyone Jenkins 20-27 212yds 2TD’s and 1int.
Kejon Owens rushed 23-132yds and 2TD’s
Nazeviah Burris 6 catches for 88yds and a TD leads the receiver room which saw 9 different receivers get into the scoring books with receptions.

Defensively nothing really stood out as you could see on the sidelines some heated discussions happening throughout the game.

The USF Bulls outlast the #10 Miami Hurricanes 31-17. The Hurricanes traveled cross-State bringing their top 10 ranking with them. But the intimidation of the pirate ship looked large for the Hurricanes.

Both teams were limited to just 7 points each in the first half as USF missed a FG attempt and Miami missed two. USF's touchdown came off a successful trick play as HB Kelley Joiner tossed a 31 yard pass up to WR Abdur-Rahhman Yaseen.

The second half belonged to the Bulls on both sides of the ball. Offensively, the spark came on a 97 yard bomb on third and long backed deep. The defense also contributed as they recorded four sacks on the day, including one resulting in a forced fumble returned for 61 yards and a touchdown.

Also on defense, carve out a special place in your hearts for Safety Kajaun Banks. Banks sealed the deal in the 4th quarter, recording 3 interceptions and stifling any chance for the Hurricanes to mount a comeback.

In addition to Joiners' touchdown pass, he shines in his first starting role, running for 134 yards on 12 carries.

After finishing their non-conference slate 3-1, well ahead of where most prognosticators predicted. Next week, USF travels to New Orleans to face Tulane.19177c9ce6867-screenshotUrl.jpg

LOL. It’s the toughest week. How cool would it be if practice mattered in the game for game planning and such but then it could lead to a small risk of player injury?
