I'd really like to see some footage using the "Wide" Camera. I like the coordinator cam but the wide camera intrigues me. If it lets me see all of my receivers while staying closer to the action, I think it might be the one I end up using.

In the LSU video it still looks like there is some swerve running. But it still looks good!
I hope the D plays the speed option better than they did in the skills trainer video. On the 1st one the DE followed the QB the entire time, even long after he pitched the ball and even when he turned away from the ball carrier. However, I'd imagine that in the skills trainer the D players (at least in this early stage where they're teaching the user to do 1 thing and 1 thing only) are programmed to only do 1 thing so he was programmed to follow the QB everywhere.
For anyone that's used it, is that how the skills trainer works?
4 more days until the demo people! Woot woot.
Has there been a video yet that shows any of the new option plays? Any of the flexbone stuff or the midline read or inverted veer from the spread?
wow :Vanderbilt: getting some love.
Damn man... Was really hoping we'd have some more videos by now. I've got jury duty in about 20 minutes and need something to do while I wait.
Typed by thumbs.
Yea we are def getting the short end of the stick for videos and information. My guess is that the dec team is waiting underneath the dinner table like a hungry dog waiting for the next gen madden team to finish up and throw them their scraps.
Cut the quote in an effort to conserve space. But I was going to say too that I think the play was made that way to both cater to the casual fan AND meet the horrific blocking halfway. At least to me, when a qb has 5, 6, 7 seconds to throw, you have to do something that will allow the defense to slow down the wrs for more time. If the game was accurate on the offensive line and you got 3, 4, 5 seconds to throw instead (and even that's a little to long), the bump and run would have been one of the biggest complaints over the past couple years and probably would've got addressed. It really shouldn't be a difficult thing to change.
LOL its a video game for all ages. No one wants real time anxiety. It will never in essence be a realistic sim type game. Its a game for playing, not a project for research and practice even though some approach it that way LOL.
its a video game, you want to see the player movement, watch the play develop, enjoy the animations. Real world is not the video game and vice versa. The game does have enough ( up to this point) of a reality base so far though. People with a little more football knowledge can and do beat people that don't. But all video games will always be about fantasy and fun. a 3 second time window or less on every play is not a fun factor :D
Looks like the refs got a uniform update as well (3:15 mark, LSU vs Alabama clip) it's a small detail but I know some people look for stuff like that. I've just watched what videos we have so many times I've started looking at EVERYTHING.
Am I the only one who isn't getting "pumped/excited" over these videos?
Not that the game looks terrible or anything of the sort, but I just can't seem to get to that excitement level I once did for this series.
Maybe because its only June and I am a huge baseball nut. :dunno:
I know this is just a silly thought from someone who is not into shaky cam videos at odd angles but.... Why on earth does EA not have DVR's/CaptureDevice hooked up to the kiosks? Let people play their games and whoever wants to share gameplay footage for the internet can download it from the DVR/CaptureDevice. It is not like they are releasing any footage to us, outside a couple screenshots and a gameplay video. This way they would at least have higher quality footage out there for people to watch.
I agree with that it has to serve the general crowd, but disagree about the fun factor on time windows. People would speed up with the game if all aspect were made somewhat realistic. 3 seconds right now means auto-sack, but if the cb/wr interaction was at least mostly realistic and the line play was realistic then it would be plenty of time to determine for the user what to do with the ball. You underestimate the ability of the human brain to make split second decisions with this thought. You don't even have to look at RL football, you can look at all the FPS games, kids and adults alike determine things like this in the blink of an eye and are very good at making the reaction to kill an enemy 1000 virtual feet away. Heck, you could just look at the running game in the football game itself. We make immediate decisions based on animations and fits and defensive placement and all that. Why couldn't we for the passing game? It would also take away a lot of the downfield and crossfield cheese because people wouldn't have the time to wait for the play to develop the way it does now. The fun factor would DEFINITELY still be there and I guarantee kids would adjust to the speed, just like getting faster on an FPS
EDIT: I personally think EA is scared of just what you mentioned, but I have NO idea why. Casual gamers watch football too and are caught up with the speed of the game. If line play really was realistic it would be ok, it'd just take several games to get used to making that reaction.

Our top rated WR is a guy that won't even been starting. :fdown:
*Of course, it was obviously a random guess by EA and it's just a coincidence that they both wear #2. Nothing to see here.
