I'm finishing up unknowns, you know how hard that is :D:D:D

I'm hoping Amazon will have a pre-order bonus with this, but I'll get it either way.
Yeah other than release day shipping through Amazon the pre-order isn't much.
Yeah if Amazon adds a credit, I'll be all over it.
Someone on Twitter told me that PS+ members will be in the beta Thursday?
360 users will also, I just received my code this morning in my email. I'm pretty excited about this, I hope it isn't a let down.
Actually it looks like the beta opens up to everyone everywhere on Thursday.
Having played two hours so far, I feel very confident in saying the online is a complete and utter mess.
Yeah you are right JB, it is open for me today. Oops. LOL.
I haven't played a Battlefield yet where the online wasn't a mess before a couple of patches. lol
Damn IOU do you even have a job? :D
The Beatn can be misleading in his name...haha j/k
Huh? I've had the beta since last night. I've only played 2 hours because I absolutely can't stand it.
There's two REALLY annoying animation glitches. If you're running and hit a rock or something, it wont let you run until you knife. This happens ALL the time. Another is similar and not as annoying because it doesn't happen as often, but even more annoying when it does. For some stupid reason, it sometimes wont allow you to aim down your sights. Once again, this is corrected by knifing. I really hope these two things get fixed.
Another really annoying thing is the audio drops. There were a few occasions where I would just fall over dead without hearing a single shot. I cranked my volume all the way up, and as I figured, there are some massive audio drops. Sometimes it will be fine, then other times so low you have to turn it up. After a few minutes, it'll kick back in and be so loud you can barely stand it. Very odd, but should be able to be fixed.
That's about all the glitches I've seen so far, as far as game play, well...I hated it at first but I am starting to enjoy it a bit more as I unlock some stuff and get the hang of things. I don't like how much they've raised the bullet damage, but whatever, I kind of figured they would. Snipers are still annoying as fuck, but whatever, didn't really expect that to change. You STILL can't communicate with anyone outside of your squad, which is really annoying, but again, oh well.
The hit detection is my big thing. It's still messed up and that is the one thing that really bugs me. It feels exactly like it did in Bad Company 2. Sometimes the bullets will register and sometimes they wont, it just seems too random.
IF they can eliminate these bugs, I'll enjoy the game. As it is now, there's so many bugs that constantly happen I don't even want to bother with it. I will say this, though, the graphics and the animations are absolutely top notch. It's a beautiful game and even more impressive when it's in motion. Their online stat tracking site is also very impressive.
Here's some clips from earlier. If you want to see how messed up the spawn system can be(spawning on squad member), check out 5:45 and beyond.

I haven't noticed that if I hit a rock I couldn't run, I did notice how at times I couldn't run for some reason maybe that is why, I really dunno, I fix mine my going prone then getting back up and it works. I have seen the audio drops as well as sometimes when I spawn the screen is still that blue color like I am dead.
I do think the hit detection is fine, I still am unsure about what you are looking for in that arena, I am sure you are about to say something about the bullet damage soon as well. I accredited most of it to it being a beta though, the can't run and the audio drops anyway. The game did get worlds better once I unlocked some sights, camping is going to be a major pain the ass though, like I have seen times where the rushing team is just laying around not even trying to arm the things and no one is moving (hence why I stopped playing rush in first place)
According to their blogs you were suppose to be able to communicate with everyone on your team now, how do you do that I honestly don't know, but it was mentioned I know.
Edit: I was also just joking about the job, I found it humorous you are always on basically every shooter that was all.
It's because you're hitting collision objects in the map. It happens to me all the time. The not being able to aim glitch doesn't happen nearly as often, but it's equally annoying when it does.
Hit detection is fine if you're using a sight, which is exactly how it was in Bad Company 2. When using the standard iron sights, you have to aim low. I immediately adjusted to it but I still can't believe they didn't get that tuned up. I immediately noticed it when I first started playing BC2 and it's the first thing I noticed when playing BF3 for the first time.
I will agree that it does get better with unlocks. I actually started having some fun when I got my red dot, mainly because I could actually aim for the head and have it register as a headshot. Camping is going to be a huge problem. The bullet damage is just way too high, the map has way too long of sight, and there's really no reason for people to move. Why move and get killed on the way when you can sit in one spot and get several kills strung together? Part of the problem is Rush - such a shitty game mode.
Rush is a terrible game mode, it was fun on BC1 and early parts of BC2 before every one started realizing that all you have to do is camp on it, but its absolutely horrible now and I question why it is still in the game. I play a shit ton of conquest and its a pretty decent game mode ( nothing more than domination) but I am curious to see how any of the other game modes will work out.
I am hoping camping will balance itself out once people get use to the locations where people hang out at (kinda like the old Ghost series), and yes the spawn points can be horrendous if your teammate is a a bad location, I snagged a couple of 8 kill streaks off of shitty spawn points. I do like that they have made light machine guns inaccurate on the run now, what I don't like are the different weapons depending on what team you are on, not a big problem but I liked having all my guns available. LOL
Ok, for this beta, is the Operation Metro map in Rush mode the only options you have to play on? I'm downloading the beta right now, and that's all they mention in the details, is playing Rush mode on Op. Metro.
With Battlefield unfortunately you never know, they have had maps that were only available on one mode. Its a terrible map for any mode if you ask me, outside of the "outside" portions, it has wayyy too many chokepoints, but there are ways around them though just kinda irritating IMO, mostly the subway part.
Yeah, I'm about to find out. Firing up the beta right now.
So yeah, I have no clue what the hell is going on or what I'm doing, but I'm having fun. :D Went 7-10 in my first game, probably my first true FPS multiplayer game in a year. Got promoted up a level, was on the winning team. Had a blast.
Getting better. So far have played 3 games, and gone 3-0. Was 7-10 my first game, went 10-11 my second, just went 17-10 my third. Slowly improving.
Yeah, in my four short matches on Rush, definitely not something I'd probably play often. Give me some other modes. Definitely ran into my fair share of campers. A couple corners down in the subway where there would always be someone hanging around somewhere. And I agree about the different weapons. I hate that.
Fuck you EA for making me get your damn proprietary download shit to be able to play the PC Multiplayer Demo of Battlefield 3. Fuck you in the dick.
LOL I have all the download thingy's. Mostly because each one offers different sales and that is about the only thing I like about PC gaming the games always go on sale at one point or another.
Can anyone still get into this thing on 360? I keep getting a "The connection with EA Online was lost" error all of a sudden. I was able to instantly connect and jump into a match no problem when I fired it up for the first time this morning.
It's day one of the completely open beta....not a surprise that it is not going without a hitch.
True. I was finally able to get into a game after about 10-15 minutes of trying. Hopefully they get the issues ironed out.
:D :D :D Yeah, I think you friend requested me a few months back after I liked the Facebook page for the sports podcast. I figured you knew the connection the entire time. :D
Nope. :D
From Twitter - @Battlefield: We're having some technical difficulties on the 360 - working to fix it. Stand by!
