At this time of deals and steals, it may be good to pause and reflect ... and remember that nostalgia sometimes changes facts. Remember when games were cheap and $60 was an unheard of price for a new game?

Damn. Now I do remember getting games on PS1, PS2 and Xbox for only $40 and then $50 a few years later. But I didn't remember those kind of prices back then. Damn.
I paid $50 for Super Mario Brothers 3 back in the day so it was definitely the case.
It sounds like, from reading the comment in that forum, that prices went down to ~$40 for the PS1 (due to use of CDs), then ~$50 for PS2. Inflation could easily be attributed for the change. That does sound vaguely familiar.
They were charging $40 for greatest arcade hits, and there was only five on the cart :D

Sony is kicking off its 13 for '13 promotion tomorrow, which means players will be able to grab 13 PSN games at a discounted price. If you're a member of PlayStation Plus, they'll be 75 percent off, too.

Yep, sounds like another "meh" Gold Box. I doubt most of the games will have any serious discounts. And even then, doesn't sound like anything I want. Already have Halo 4 and NHL, those would be about all I'd care about.
Maybe next time...oh, wait, I've been saying that for years now. :D
I'll keep an eye when Hitman and Halo 4 hit, but obviously not holding my breath on it being a spectacular price.

Picked up Resident Evil 6 for $20 from Best Buy(also $20 at Amazon). I'm hoping I wont be vastly disappointed, but I can just feel it coming.
