Escobar and Marlowe remain in Week 5.
PSU 27, SDSU 7.
One game in, against a lousy opponent whose QB I sidelined for 11 weeks (dislocated elbow) early on, it's tough to be sure but I think the new sliders will be much more challenging. We maaaay even want 8-minute quarters down the line. I guess we'll see how the season plays out.
Good job, Chris!
Miami will be coming out with a completely different offense this season. Coach Ryby has said he has not played more than a few games ever in this offense and it will be a work in progress. It will be debut against #2 Florida next week. I have gotten bored doing the same old things on offense and want to try something new.
Despite throwing for 577 yards, Notre Dame falls to the Aggies of Texas A&M. QB Garrett Brown completed 36/55 passes for 577 with three touchdowns but importantly, also threw four interceptions. Not only did the Fighting Irish lose their opening game, they also lost their All-World receiver, Jason Smith for the entire season. Smith will use his redshirt year as a medical redshirt... oh wait, no he won't. Irish fans will have to hold out hope that he returns for his senior season where undoubtedly he'll be considered the best receiver in the country.
Will be getting my game in after work here....
After an ugly defensive start, Bama stepped up the D in the 2nd half by pitching a shutout. Took out #19 Pitt in their house 55-26, had a fumble return for a TD and a 103-yd INT return for the final score of the game. Something that didn't happen much with Bama last year, was a close to 300-yd passing performance, and McCarron came close with some great passes. Next week. Stelerfan.
GG CLW...I need to work on my offense...six sacks and I still couldn't stop Guillory...damn that guy.
Just waiting on the slacker, cdj, to play his game.
Texas' defensive line OWNED Florida's offensive line but in the end Guillory made enough plays with his legs and Mack Brown (only in EA land could a Mack Brown play for Florida) led the Gators to a hard fought 7 point victory. Brown finished with 17 carries for 143 yards and 2 touchdowns and had 2 monster 2nd half TD runs that proved to be the difference. Texas fought hard but after a failed onside kick time simply ran out on Texas.
Miami is starting the recruiting season strong signing 1:5star: and 2 :4star: already this year.
Miami is scrapping the new offensive scheme until some things can be fleshed out.
GG CLW. I knew when there was 50 seconds left when I scored I would lose. 5 wide on this game is fucking ***. Nothing against you, but there are simply no coverages to really stop it and add in no huddle, well it is almost an automatic score. That one pick killed me.(I think my whole freaking family decided they needed to come in the room and have conversations for about a qtr and a half. :( You made the plays you needed to though.
WHEW. What a game. Steelerfan tried a Tom Osborne at the end of the game, and thankfully I stopped the 2-point conversion to win 28-27. It was a tight game from the beginning with no lead greater than 7. Only seven points scored in the first half....the defenses forgot to come out of the tunnel in the 2nd half I think. GG bro! That was a tough one.
Florida survives The U with a touchdown in the final 5 seconds to hang on to a victory. The Gators nearly blew the game late in the 4th quarter when Guillory forced a throw leading to an interception which gave the Canes a short field and Coach Ryby capitalized with a touchdown to take the lead with under a minute to play. However, Guillory calmly and cooly led the Gators down the field and Mack Brown punched in a short touchdown run with 5 seconds remaining to make the final score 35-28.
GG Man GL Rest of the Season!
I hear ya on that one. I have never ran the Pistol either and what do my "friends" give me to start the season with? 3 user games against Top 25 clubs: Texas; Miami; Notre Dame. :smh:
Should I survive the gauntlet I will remember this come SEC Championship time.
The Gators survive The Gauntlet winning their 3rd TGT game in a row to start the season off with a bang. The Irish played well but in the end too many interceptions allowed the Gators to put points on the board with a short field.
GG Man GL Rest of the Season!
Miami defeats Virginia but it is a costly victory. Miami loses their top two Freshmen QB's in the game. Starting QB Jake Martin will be gone for 4 weeks with a sprained elbow while Frank Adkins will miss 12 weeks with a dislocated elbow. Miami will change there offense out of necessity after losing both of their fast QB's.
Physical, hard-fought win for Auburn over Vanderbilt 26-22. RB Michael Dyer scored the winning TD with :30 remaining.
Waiting on JB and then we will advance.
JBHuskers remains. :)

With a boat load of recruits in the house Coach CLW finally got to see the CPU and the new sliders in action. The Gators started off slowly but exploded for 42 points in the 2nd Quarter to remove any doubt in this one. The Vols all out blitzes got boring quickly as Guillory just torched them through the air. Mack Brown had another solid day carrying the ball as well.
Florida's defense was shaky early as Tennessee did its best Peyton Manning impression calling PA pass after PA pass which really fooled the Gators secondary. However, the 2nd Half was another story. Tennessee was forced to abandon the PA passing game and the Gators destroyed the Vols in the 2nd half in route to an easy victory.
I had a big 2nd qtr in my game as well. 42 points. Had to roll with the 2nd string after the half.
