Yup. Figured it was the mobo causing the issue. Sucks to have bought a new power supply for nothing though an upgrade is never a bad thing. :)
Hope you have some spare thermaltake laying around, otherwise you might want to buy more of that as well.

Yeah, I probably needed a new power supply anyway. The one I had was only 600 watts and the new one is 750... I was probably pushing the capacity of what it should be anyway.
Yeah, I've got a kit for cleaning thermal paste and also applying new. Now comes the hard part... waiting until tomorrow for it to arrive.
PC is now back up & running... nice to get 100% confirmation that it was the motherboard. I decided I'd take the opportunity to go ahead and finally install my SSD since I was pretty much going to need to do a fresh Windows install anyway. I now have 4 storage drives:
90GB SSD - Windows
250GB Velociraptor - Programs/My Documents
1TB Samsung - Games (Steam, Origin, etc.)
3TB Seagate - Media (movies, music, pictures, etc.)
:)
Jealousy is me. Damn.
Outlast... the first-person, combat-free horror game about investigating an asylum, coming to Steam this summer.

Any suggestions for a turn based strategy game? Enjoyed Civ IV. Is V decent? Anything else out there?
Yeah, while vanilla Civ V is playable, it does need the expansions to be truly good. But it is a very fun game. A bit more simplified and not quite as wide open maps as Civ IV, but still very fun, with some improvements that make for much better game play, for example, no more death stacks that enable you to throw dozens of units at a city at once, now each plot of the map can only be occupied by a single army, so you've got to better plan out your attacks when going to war with another leader.
Does anyone want a preferred beta access code for Infinite Crisis?
Sorry forgot to post that it was gone. You can still sign up for the beta though here...

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing released today on Steam. Can't wait to give it a try later tonight.

ALWAYS loved the Civ series but haven't picked up V yet. Looks like some of you have played it. Where is the best place to get the full game (all the expansion packs etc...) - Steam?
I'd say your best bet is to wait for the Steam Summer Sale where it could be as cheap as $5 or $10. I know a couple months back the entire package with all DLC to date was on sale for $10 or $15.
Civilization IV Complete + Civilization V Gold + XCOM: Enemy Unknown (Steam) - $19.99 (83% off) on Amazon
I use this every weekend in case something I want comes up, I think the Civ deal with XCOM is a pretty good deal.

Has anyone messed with Links 2003 for the PC? If so any pros vs cons?
They have a deal going where you can purchase the full game and all 47 addon courses for $29.95
http://www.linkscountryclub.com/proshop
Seems like it's a good deal. Going to try the demo.
EDIT: I tried the demo version on my new PC it's running Windows 7 64 bit and it keeps giving me an error, when I searched this error it means the software I'm trying to run is not compatible with a 64-bit op system.
So I installed it on this PC runnings windows Vista and it seems to work. It looks like a nice golf game.
Many moons ago, then Links 2004 hit on the Xbox and static golf kinda died for me. If you decide to go this route or just get the game by itself, head over at another site - Links Corner - you have access to just over 2,000 user made course, many of them real courses (Augusta, Bethpage, Pinehurst 2, etc, etc, that can all be downloaded for free.

Civ V worth $12.49? I've played Civ in the past but wasn't sure how V was.
Is it the complete version or just the plain Civ V? Yes it is worth it but here is another deal that might strike your interest.

Civilization 5
Civilization 5: Gods and Kings Expansion
Civilization 5 Complete
It's the "Gold" Edition (whatever that means)

I believe thats everything including gods and kings, so yes its a good deal but if you can think of something else you want I think the deal I posted is better, because its effectively 5.00 per game.
I believe what they are calling complete is the same as the gold.
ahhh yes it is.....thats a hell of a typo.
Then yes I would go for the other deal(good deal)......its a better deal unless you can hold out for the summer sale and hope something better comes along.
I was also going to look at civ 5 during the steam summer sale. However, does anyone know if it is windows 8 compatible?
Couple of damn good deals on the Gamefly sale today...
