Very true. McNabb got fat in the NFL and was still referred to as a scrambler despite rarely running.

Lol his scrambles weren't crazy but very efficient and huge on those third downs.
Also one little thing I've not seen and don't remember on 2011 is that as the play clock get to 9 it turns red and kinda has a pulse sound that is light and subtle but nice too.
Playing Kansas at Kansas State right now.
I just called a HB toss (not first time in this game) but my backup HB came into the game and the QB missed the toss to him. This was not an option just a normal toss play.
If that happens to me in an online game, I'm going to throw the controller right through my TV. Mark my words.
One of the most frustrating things I've noticed in the demo is while I ran an option play and pitched the ball it would just bounce off the 2nd player and then he would just ignore the ball on the ground.
Can we get a video or, hell, just a video of practice mode with 4-2-5/Cover 1 being fixed?
that HB Toss thing happened to me with Oregon in the demo, snapped the ball, switched to LaMike HB #21, and was holding to the right on my controller and had somehow outrun the pitch...
and honestly... i smiled when i saw it... really... stuff like that (as a coach) just makes me feel at home lol... only bad thing is i cant sprint the piss out of LaMike HB #21 after practice... :fp:

idk if the CD guys feel the same, but the retail copy feels a bit different. Not sure if it's because I'm using Louisville or not.
Well, if you assume that demos are often finalized and submitted around a month before they are released for download, then you're looking at a time difference between the code of the demo and the code of the retail game anyway.
Now, I'll be honest and say that I played the demo for about a day and a half because of when my retail copy came in, so at this point--after playing the retail disc for so much longer than the demo--I couldn't even make basic comparisons between them anymore.
I am noticing one thing, the big play opportunity is definitely the way it should be. A high-powered offense vs a middle of the road defense = shootout. At least pre-patch.
EDIT: Finished first game on Heisman, won 37-30 Louisville vs Cincinnati. High scoring, but both teams only scored 1 TD in the second half (10-7 in the second half)
I only downloaded the demo to get the Pro Combat uniforms. :D
I think EA has almost fully captured just how dangerous the spread is. Just in one drive, Nebraska's QB (won't say name) took off 3 times, and Michigan (Me) and QB #16 is incredibly dangerous in the open field. I'm very excited to see just how effective the Spread is this year.

Will say I am upset over the amount of missed pitches on options that don't get called fumbles but incomplete passes even though they are behind the LOS.
The HB is behind the QB on the pitch 99% of the time. There are some where they are pretty much parallel to each other, but the ones I am talking about the ball goes behind the QB on a diagonal to the trailing HB. A few times it would hit a defensive player and be ruled dead.
Another close win. Was able to beat Nebraska in the rain with Michigan 28-27. Only 10 second half points total and the defenses dug in. Took the lead with 14 ticks with a 1 handed grab on 4th and 10. I'll see if I can upload the highlight.
Only 77 yards rushing for me, 88 for Nebraska.
He's probably talking retail (since he has it), but I haven't seen it, and I went out of my way to test late pitches the other day.
if its a forward pitch doesnt matter if its behind the LOS... but if nobody else is seeing it, and you tested it purposefully Jeff then im not worried about it

Well, I've just been able to do it three times in a row. However, on two of them the ball was going parallel to the line and on the third it clearly went forward about 3 yards ... so I'm okay with that.
So far I haven't seen any that went obviously backwards that weren't correctly called fumbles.

Yes... that JUST happened. Seriously though... it just happened a few minutes ago playing online against psusnoop.
I think what might be throwing Petey off is that it looks wrong. He's right ... the HB is behind the QB, and you'd think the pitch would be going that direction. Instead, the QB is throwing it much closer to parallel to the line and the HB turns upfield to grab it. But in actual gameplay, it does look and feel wrong. It's not until I look closely at the replays that I figure out what is going on.
I was just checking to see if you saved that G, I was going to post it if you hadn't ( not that I enjoyed it really, lol) I kid it is and was fun to see the suction tackling not involved one bit in that play. Big big improvement.
ok G is starting to get a feel for that "sit back" move... thats twice ive seen him use it on big runs...
and yeah its nice to be able to do that without somebody warping right into your chest and more than likely knocking the ball loose...

What's nice is that it feels right. If you notice in the clip of the BYU run, the receiver makes the stop, but then has to take a full step backwards in order to get his momentum moving forward again. Whereas the Wisconsin HB is able to stop and go with relative ease.

this was the 1 handed catch to win the game.
hey G if you aren't busy right now, I'd like to run one with you . Ready to test out my new playbook.
The game feels great, however the cutting doesn't feel as natural. Something they could work on... but I cant complain this game is sweeeeeet.
Are you guys referring to ranked games not being able to invite?
