This time of year is always hard for the die-hard NCAA Football fans. Typically the game would be releasing in the next few weeks and by now, impressions & videos would be coming out of the woodwork making the wait even harder. However, with the absence of NCAA, EA is using this window to talk about the upcoming Madden NFL 17 due out in a couple of months. As part of that, Madden's Creative Director, Rex Dickson was doing an interview at E3. As part of that, the question was asked about the return of NCAA Football.

If you pre-order Rory McIlroy PGA Tour through Amazon and are enrolled in Amazon Prime, you'll receive $10 off in addition to the pre-order bonus of TPC Scottsdale and release day delivery. You won't see the discount until you get to the final checkout page.

For those who are interested in the title but had reservations about the game due to a limited (at least at launch) course and golfer listing, this promotion makes the game investment significantly more tolerable. It is unknown how long this promotion will be in effect.

In other PGA TOUR news: As speculated by the community for months, it is now confirmed that the game will not be a yearly title. However, the development team has plans for free content down the line for the title which apparently include courses, as noted by several tweets this afternoon from the product's account. ...

A point of concern since the EA Access service was announced, the actual amount of pre-release gametime with Madden NFL 15 will be "six gameplay hours." This comes via the EA Access Twitter account in response to a question from an assumed customer of the service.

EA Access costs $4.99 a month (or $30 a year) and allows users to play older EA titles for free while also giving them five days of early access to new EA titles. While a limited playtime makes sense for games with a storyline (Dragon's Age, Battlefield, etc.), many sports gamers have expressed disgust at going from unlimited three day playing time with EA SPORTS Season Ticket to now six hours over five days. (Season Ticket returns to PS3/360 this year.)

EA Access is only available on Microsoft's Xbox One as Sony (PlayStation 4) allegedly declined carrying the program, citing it a poor value for consumers. With full details now available, do you agree with Sony's decision? Continue on to share your opinion and to see some initial reactions to this time limit via Twitter. ...

After a week of rumors on a possible release date for a Madden NFL 15 demo and then if one will even be available, it was confirmed today on Twitter by Community Manager Andrew Johnson that there will not be a demo for the game.

With EA Access now available for all Xbox One users, those who wish to play Madden NFL 15 (PS4 & XB1) will need to sign up for the subscription service. EA Access will allow users to play the game five days early, however there has no word on if there will be any limits to the amount of time played in that period.

Will the lack of a demo hurt your interest in the title? If on Xbox One, does this news make you more likely to subscribe to EA Access? Share your thoughts with the community. ...

As you probably already know, NCAA Football 14 will add a popular feature from other franchises called Ultimate Team (NFUT for short). As part of that, those that love the mode (or love a particular college team) are looking forward to seeing some of their favorite all-time legends take the collegiate field again. One of those that immediately springs to mind to almost everyone would be Auburn's Bo Jackson.

Kotaku's Owen Good has an article with all of the details about Jackson's history as well as comments from EA once they were able to secure him into the game.

When he visited our television sets a generation ago he came to us in two different forms, one of them human. In his time he was unmistakably the best athlete of both realms, and his latter manifestation—the indestructible, immortal, and still unstoppable Video Game Bo Jackson—returns to the field next week.

NCAA Football 14 Developer Christian McLeod was recently a guest on the GoodBullHunting.com podcast discussing changes to NCAA Football 14, particularly those surrounding Texas A&M. As part of that conversation, at 14:20, McLeod was asked by the host, "Is the black alternate uniform something we might see in the full version of the game?". McLeod's answer was seemingly cut from the podcast.
