With the 2024 regular season all but complete, EA SPORTS has released a ratings update for College Football 25.

The two Heisman Trophy favorites - WR/DB Travis Hunter (Colorado) & RB Ashton Jeanty (Boise State) - are now tied for best player in the game with a 97 OVR. Michigan CB Will Johnson dropped to a 96 OVR rating, alongside Texas LT Kelvin Banks, Jr.

After being snubbed by The Game Awards, EA SPORTS College Football 25 has earned a nomination for Best Sports Game at the PlayStation Blog. Voting is open to the public.

The PS Blog nominees for Best Sports Game: EA Sports College Football 25, EA Sports FC 25, F1 24, Madden NFL 25, MLB The Show 24, NBA 2K25, Tiebreak: Official game of the ATP and WTA, TopSpin 2K25, Undisputed, and WWE 2K24.

If you, or someone you know, didn't pick up College Football 25, try it for free this weekend. From November 14-17, the game will be free to play on Xbox & PlayStation. Users who sign into Ultimate Team will get their choice of Lamar Jackson, Bradley Chubb or Marshawn Lynch.

If gamers decide they want to purchase the game after playing, CFB 25 is or will be on sale digitally as part of Black Friday savings.

On Xbox, all digital versions of the game will be 40% off from Nov. 12-Dec. 2. On PlayStation, the standard & MVP Bundle will be 40% off from Nov. 22-Dec. 2. The Deluxe Edition will be 40% off from Nov. 13-20 and again from Dec. 2-16. ...

Title update 1.018 is now available for EA SPORTS College Football 25. A small known change in this update is a new game icon on the console main menu.

Title update 1.013 is now available for EA SPORTS College Football 25. This update is small in size and the only publicized detail from EA is that it "tackled the Kick Meter visual issue and made general stability improvements." A previous update inadvertently changed how the kick meter appeared for field goals and punts.

It is worth noting that EA tweeted that they are working on a Campus Huddle blog for a future (presumably large) update and for fans to enjoy the next two weekends of games; likely indicating a planned release of October 21-25 for said update.

Per Florida International's Senior Associate AD, the school's #ViceU uniforms will be coming to College Football 25 in an update on October 24. (Could this possibly be a significant 'Day 90' title update?) ...

On Wednesday, October 2, EA SPORTS released a ratings update for College Football 25. While EA SPORTS failed to post documentation of all ratings changes, On3's Pete Nakos shared some of the 'biggest risers and fallers.'

Moving up 10 or more overall points were:
+ Buffalo cornerback Marquis Cooper — 80 (+27)
+ South Carolina wide receiver Mazeo Bennett — 80 (16)
+ Iowa running back Kaleb Johnson — 87 (+13)
+ Texas A&M tight end Tre Watson — 80 (+11)
+ UConn wide receiver Skyler Bell — 82 (+10)

Decreasing three or more overall points were:
+ Florida State left tackle Darius Washington — 85 (-4)
+ SMU quarterback Preston Stone — 84 (-3)

The update is highlighted by the ability to save Custom Audibles across all game modes, updated crowd themes, new uniform options, among a bevy of other game aspects.
