Monday, EA SPORTS College Football 25 released a new game update (v1.008) designed to address - in large part - issues that emerged following the previous game update plaguing offline Dynasties. This update corrected issues such as: disappearing scoreboards, Freshman players not appearing in Position Change screens, freezing during Onside Kicks, and scheme/playbook changes affecting player archetype and OVR ratings. ...

Thursday, EA SPORTS College Football put out its most significant title update of the year (v1.007). This update addressed some of the larger community issues such as: pursuit angles, Juke & Spin Abilities, 20+ user created coaches bug, unpursued 4* & 5* recruits in Dynasty Mode, schedule visit bug, poll logic, and much more.

The update also added new uniforms and stadium updates, while also increasing Road to the CFP from three tiers to five.

Today, EA SPORTS released a 'smaller title update' for College Football 25 addressing some gameplay issues.

Among the improvements include: fixing the rare issue of the snap going behind the QB, and reducing the frequency of Roughing the Kicker from AI players on Field Goals.

Via Lakeshore Records, the original soundtrack for EA SPORTS College Football is now available virtually anywhere you stream music, including YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and more.

The 168 song soundtrack includes fight songs for the FBS programs as well as some additional school songs such as Kansas State's Wabash Cannonball, LSU's (Chinese) Bandits, Georgia's Dies Irae, Notre Dame's Victory Clog, some school specific first down sounders, Talkin' Out the Side of Your Neck, and Michigan State's Hockey Cheer, among others. (Licensed songs and the drumline cadences from the CFB 25 menu screens are not included.)

One day ahead of the Standard Edition release of EA SPORTS College Football 25, the Team Builder website has gone live and along with it a Deep Dive blog from the development team.

The lengthy blog details all of the customization options users can employ when building their team.

• Brand: name, nickname, logos, uniform provider, and team colors
• Uniforms: Users can have 5 helmets, 5 jerseys, 5 pants, and 5 socks, leading to 625 combinations. Can be Nike, adidas, or Under Armour
• Helmets can be matte, shiny, or chrome
• Stadium: Users can pick from any of the 134 stadiums in-game, though stadium signage for FBS programs will remain. (As of now, Hawaii is not a stadium option.) Users can also select crowd colors, surface, field art, and more.
• Your created program will inherit the rivalries, coaching staff, My School grades, and the team records of the squad they replace.

It is worth nothing that player names cannot be customized on the website but can be once downloaded and inside the Dynasty.

Thursday afternoon, EA-approved content creators began posting videos made with beta copies of EA SPORTS College Football 25 they have been playing since at least last week.

Among the creators sharing content were: Late Kick with Josh Pate, QJB, Not the Expert, and GoodGameBro. Clips included gameplay, Dynasty, and Road to Glory.

Thursday, EA SPORTS published their Deep Dive blog detailing Road to Glory mode in College Football 25.

Users will begin the mode picking what kind of recruit they will be: Elite (5*), Blue Chip (4*), Contributor (3*), or Underdog (2*). The lower the star rating, the more the player will have to work to become a top-notch player. Available positions for players to select from are: quarterback, running back, wide receiver, linebacker, or cornerback.

Each week users will need to Practice (one mini-game per week) and then select their Weekly Agenda, which is off-field activities that can affect academic eligibility, mental abilities, physical attributes, and their brand. Players must also manage their health via the Wear & Tear system.

The next and final CFB 25 Deep Dive will focus on TeamBuilder. No date has been given for that Deep Dive.

Wednesday, EA SPORTS revealed the Top 100 players in College Football 25.

There are three players tied at launch with an 96 OVR as the best in the game: Ok. St. RB Ollie Gordon, LSU LT Will Campbell, and Michigan CB Will Johnson. Community members praised the ratings for not having any players rated 99 at launch, believing it is something players should earn during the course of the year. The ratings margin between the top and bottom of the list is relatively thin as there are 30+ players tied for 70th place with a 90 OVR.

Billed as a "Launch Ratings Reveal" on the schedule, many in the community expected to see all player ratings only to be disappointed when it was the Top 100. See the Top 100 here. ...
