• Yasiel Puig is the MLB 15 The Show Cover Athlete

Via their Twitter account, Sony announced Friday evening that Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig will be the cover athlete for MLB 15 The Show. Puig finished the 2014 season - his second in the majors - with a .296 batting average with 16 home runs and 69 RBIs.

No features were announced with the cover athlete reveal, but with this weekend's PlayStation Experience event and the game yet to appear online for retailers, some game info may emerge soon.

Yep. I'd be much more likely to buy NHL and FIFA every single year if they had year to year saves, if I didn't have to just trash hundreds of games of work and progress in franchises and create a players every year. But seeing as they don't, I instead tend to only buy NHL and FIFA once every 2-3 years. I most likely will now be buying MLB The Show every year because no matter what RTTS player or franchise I am playing as, I can just carry it over and keep the progress rolling without just trashing it and leaving it behind.

And god knows I too wanted it so badly for NCAA. Every year we'd have the features tournaments around this time of year, and there would those of us vocally pleading for year to year saves, yet some people would always think it was stupid or pointless, that things like socks and the flags on top of the goalposts were more important. If I didn't love the NCAA series so much, and EA didn't usually include some decent new features every year that I wanted and made me want to upgrade, I otherwise doubt I would have bought more than a handful of the games. NCAA 14, maybe NCAA 12, NCAA 09, etc. I would have skipped all those other years in-between otherwise.
