After a slow tease to start, EA SPORTS has released all player ratings for Madden NFL 15.
Cover athlete Richard Sherman, Calvin Johnson, and JJ Watt are the highest rated players in the game, clocking in at 99 overall. The Seahawks are the highest rated team with an overall rating of 91.

Vernon Davis is a very good TE but I disagree with his complaint about being underpaid. First, he's just pointing to his lower base salaries. His cap hit for the next two years is over $7M and his contract averaged $7.35M a year. Much like MJD they don't mention their big signing bonuses. I think he's paid exactly what he's worth. Second, I have sympathy for rookie deals since a player has no control over who drafts him, what round or the salary they get. A pro bowler like Colston was drafted in the 6th round and got paid nothing until his 2nd contract. But your second contract gives you choice and power. You sign it, you live with it imo.
He could utilized a lot better and more to be honest. In 49ers offense he is asked to block more than run routes since they have been a predominantly run team and had "never look more than 10 yards down field Alex Smith" as his QB majority of the time.
I honestly believe with his speed and physical abilities he could produce just the same as Grahem and Gronkowski. No Safety can cover him single coverage with his speed and strength. Definitely no Linebacker can single cover him.
He just isn't utilized like the others or have an Offense centered around him, but I believe he could do just as much.
Ditto ^ it's nothing against Davis its more so the offense scheme and play calling. He can be a top 5 TE if had the ball thrown more to him. Hopefully with a new 3 set wide out look going itno 2014 for the 49ers it will open his game more.
Player Team Rating
Ndamukong Suh Detroit Lions 97
Geno Atkins Cincinnati Bengals 96
Gerald McCoy Tampa Bay Buccaneers 95
Kyle Williams Buffalo Bills 95
Jurrell Casey Tennessee Titans 93
Bias aside I'm not sure I could place him over AJ Green or Dez Bryant....hell even Andre Johnson
He should however be 5b. for sure and knocking on the door to get onto that list. He produces like or similar to last year which I believe he can he definitely will.
Maybe the better list would be to show players NOT in the 80's and 90's. Seriously the ratings in Madden have always been out of whack. Had a great conversation with Steeler a few nights back on party chat and we looked at The Show rosters. High 90's players are almost non-existent. Several teams have starters in the 60's. Looking at the 90 man rosters ratings swung between Cabrerra at 99 to some A league scrub at 39ovr. Look at Madden... almost every position has 99's. Brady Quinn... a 72.... ???... ??? .... Seriously? Maybe on a good day a 52! Sometimes I think that EA and the NFLPA have a deal that ratings cannot be low. Until the developers stretch the ratings all players will play the same.
