• Help Shape NCAA Football: Band Locations

The NCAA Football team is reaching out to the community and wants your help in gathering team reference details for possible inclusion in the years to come. After asking for info on Cheerleader Chants several months ago, they now want your help in learning where each college football marching band sits in their home stadium, as well as bowl, conference championship and neutral site locations.

Share your team - or any team you know - info in this thread with a photo reference/circling the section on a seating chart image. A written description would also work, but obviously a photo reference would be more beneficial.

UPDATE - Band seating sections have been gathered for ALL venues in NCAA Football. Great work by the community! Feel free to double check the list and make sure the info for your favorite program is correct.

All fair points. I'd actually forgotten about the snowstorm since we lucked out here. Good job with this man ... ton of info!

Little bit of conjecture here; nothing on the official WVU site says where the band sits, but the picture from before a game below:

Leads me to believe that the band sits in front of the purple section on that seating chart; if you look closely at the chart, there's a small grey section in front of it which is not identified. And, in the live picture, there is a platform for a band leader to stand in front of that section.

I'm not going to lie; this has actually been a pretty fun "scavenger hunt" type game to play today. Who knows when EA will actually get around to putting these specific sections in the game, but it's still cool that they're working on getting the information in place so that they have it ready when they decide to go in that direction. Pretty crazy to think that just a few years ago in NCAA Football 10 it was a big deal to just have bands marching on the field before the game and it was considered a presentation improvement.

I imagine the hardest band sections to figure out will be the Bowl Games and neutral field Rivalry Games; not like there are any seating charts just sitting around for those match-ups.

Maybe we'll get some "Special Thanks" acknowledgment in the game credits when it finally does go in! :-p

Based on the image below--which has empty space just behind the "SYRACUSE" endzone and a ladder for the bandleader directly in front of it--I believe that the band sits between Sections 108 and 109:

With help from Bcolt93 at the EASPORTS.com forums:

Looks like the student section runs from Section 29 to 35 or so, and the band has limited seating on the field just behind the north endzone opposite the student section corner.

Section: Back part of Section N-RR

Per Facts at OperationSports.com, the Hawaii band section is N-RR on the north side of the field:

Image of the band section from close:

And looking at the band from across the stadium:

      From baseballplyrmvp:

following up on this, i got a responce from Tombo Ahi, who runs the Hawaii football fan blog. he said that the student section sits in the orange section of PP and QQ.
the UH band sits in the upper half of the orange section RR
if the away team band comes to hawaii games, they usually sit in orange section R or S.

for bowl games at aloha stadium, hawaii is usually the visiting team and so they sit in the away team band section, orange section R.

Section: Portable Bleachers in front of JAC

      Per huntt26 at OperationSports.com:

Apparently the white squares in front of the Jacobson Athletic Center behind the endzone in the stadium are bleachers for the band to play on during the game. A picture was included:

I also found this image to support it:

The bleachers would be on the top-left in front of the building behind the endzone.
