Definitely not Massey Ferguson. My dad is an international man through and through. He did not like the merger with case. We always had red. Between my dad and my Opa we mainly had red. We did have one Allis Chalmers and we had a super A and C but that's different. But no green! My dad sells case ih along with kubota right now. Not quite retired at almost 67.

Interesting, most Canadians I talked to when we ran a diesel rebuild shop were Massey fans. Our Case IH dealers in the area are fairly small and probably make most of their money selling Zimmatic irrigation equipment and service. Nice guys and they even went out of their way to get custom Crimson colored drops! Boomer Sooner!

Massey is very small up here. Same with Ford. John Deere is probably 1 and IH 2 in these parts but it's a two horse race. The farms in Ontario are smaller than out west although our land is a lot more valuable. They grow pretty much nothing but wheat out west since it's too cold and too short a growing season for corn or beans.

How many bushel an acre do you get with corn down there? A good year gets 200 in SW Ontario. I imagine you guys get quite a bit more. Most guys don't irrigate here though. I know in Nebraska they do and tend to get around 230 irrc.

We grow Wheat (Perryton, Tx. is the Wheatheart of the Nation), Corn and Sorghum.

Where we are (red circle) the Corn is all irrigated. I think 225 is our average but not 100% sure as I do not mess with the harvesting. We do not get enough rain here to try our luck going non-irrigated (as you can see so few counties in our area grow corn and that is because you have to have the irrigation engines and produce enough water from the wells).

On the Wheat we usually go half and half. Some years the non-irrigated becomes a place for someones cattle to graze. Some seed you have good luck with, others not so much. Every year it is a guessing game.

About the only thing I do farm related, is check the irrigation sprinklers online. Technology has come a long way. Starting, stopping, changing how much water gets put out on the fly, chemicals, etc all on a website. Now if we could get our irrigation engines online but that is not going to happen as you need to check the drippers and water production manually. Of course it helps to have custom farmers to check these things.

My xbox one XONE headset by Turtle Beach arrived today. I picked it up for $60 as I had a discount owed to me. For a $90 dollar headset I have been very impressed! Took less than two minutes to set up and the sound for games and tv is great.

Also, my XBOX ONE (Seagate) 2TB hard drive arrived today. It's compact and uses the same colour scheme as the ONE. I must say I have been EXTREMELY impressed with XBOX ONE thus far. It's a great system with excellent accessories.

100% in agreement. Due to an amazing wife I am one of the lucky few who have both systems. They are both excellent at what they do. I bought the PS4 first and it's the main system downstairs. The 1 was a Christmas gift and it gets used upstairs as the all-in-one console.

I think they are both great systems, I'd give the nod towards the Xbox1 controller in terms of battery, seems like my PS4 controllers won't last near as long before they need a recharge. I can play my Xbox1 for days (sometimes around a week) before the battery will need a charge, the PS4 is more like 10 hours. I will say though, the PS4 seems to give me more warning that the battery is running low, I've been on the Xbox1 and the controller will just die, no warning.

The menus of both are different, I mess w/ my Xbox1 more so I'm more comfortable on that system, probably like a Mac vs PC they'll do the same things but knowing where the different things are in the menus helps vs on the PS4 I have to hunt around for the stuff, probably just due to more time on the Xbox1.

I've got the light on dim for ps4 controllers and I doubt I get more than 6 hours on a charge. We have three controllers though but the battery life is bad.

Yeah, that light helps kill the battery. My controller has never lasted very long between charges either. For Xbox One, I actually can go a week plus between full charges while putting in a good amount of gameplay. My One controller just seems to last a long time between charges.

I went ahead and opted in for the new Xbox One UI last week. Just got the update to jump to the new UI this morning. Only been on it for maybe an hour now, but damn it's nice. Extremely fast, very smooth, more stuff available right on the main screen. Easier to get into parties, check out the friends list, see messages, etc. I like it!

You can stay with the existing Xbox UI, you can opt-in to the new UI or you can even elect to leave the preview program altogether.

According to the description, they push out updates to those who have opted in approximately twice a week. I opted in last Tuesday, and didn't get my update pushed to me until sometime overnight this morning. So it could be a week or so of waiting before you'd see an update pushed to you.

Yes, some of the achievements are different on the remastered Ultimate Edition and you can get the repeat ones again as far as I know, but I don't think you get new achievements for playing the original GoW1 on XB1 on backwards compatibility.

Yep, I've been enjoying it.

Only issue I had was not being able to format an external drive. It would crash whenever it got to the point of naming your external drive. The update they released overnight Sunday night/Monday morning fixed that.

My external drive is now formatted and I've been reinstalling digital games nonstop since middle of the night Sunday night. Still got one or two yet to go. And then it's on to my disc-based games.

Other than that issue, where I had a $100 paper weight for 6 days, I haven't had any problems or major bugs with the new experience.

Don't know about yours, but mine seems slower to auto-sign me on via the Kinect than it did with the old UI. I've found it faster to move left to the Guide and then manually sign on. Not that I've recalibrated it or anything to try to fix it, lol.

I know it's probably a pipe dream (I'd love it if it was BC). My question is, why on earth would Microsoft touch that with a 10 foot stick? Will they really make a game that was the center of a lawsuit a game that will work on their new system/firmware?

It just seems like that is going to open up a can of worms, Xbox1 is still making money and Microsoft is still making money so why wouldn't some yahoos go out and sue for some of that money?

I don't agree with suing and that mentality but past history shows it doesn't matter what I think, otherwise the NCAA game would still be made, no?

Well, they still sell the game on Xbox 360 and PS4. You can still buy the game in some stores and online. And it's not like they have to remake the game to make it playable. They are essentially adding the 360 software to the One to be able to play games, as it virtually boots up like a 360 to play the games. You can even bring up the menus and friends list, start parties, etc exactly as you can already on 360. It's essentially nothing more than a 360 virtually inside the One. Yet no one is freaking out over NCAA still being played on 360 or PS3.

That's my understanding of it. The 360 software is emulated in the Xbox One, and the 360 games will be essentially emulations of themselves in the 360 software. It's essentially doing whatever is needed in-house by the game companies to make sure the games will run properly in the emulated 360 software.

There is some work that has to be done to ensure the game works properly in the emulated 360 software, since it's likely not 100% exactly the same as an actual 360 console, but it's not like companies have to remake the game from the ground up.

If they are still selling games in the PS3 and 360 online stores, in physical brick and mortar stores and various online websites, making it backwards compatible for those who already own it is not gonna matter worth shit in regards to the court cases.

If being able to play it on the Xbox One is such a huge issue, then those in the court cases would be demanding EA, Xbox, Sony and every store and website in the country stop selling the game. The issue now is making the game, namely, making new games. Not selling the already existing game nor enabling the already owned game to be played on a second console. You would have to own the game to play it on Xbox One and you will have likely already owned the game on 360 or PS3 in that case if you want to play it on One so bad.

Some in the preview program are already reporting Streets of Rage as being available to install on their Ones. I tried my Halo: Reach disc, it wouldn't let me install so it must not be available to preview members yet, just internally at MS.

Booting up for the first time with Gears of War, it boots up like a 360, then at least for the first time, it goes to a loading screen that says "Getting your Xbox 360 info..." Then it loads right into the game.

Pressing both middle buttons on the controller brings up the 360 guide. I can view my friend's list, start a party, chat, manage storage, view my achievements and rewards and then make changes to my profile and preferences.

Guys - I HIGHLY doubt EA's legal would EVER sign off on allowing MS to put NCAA on XB1. Its just asking for another lawsuit and may arguably violate the terms of their settlement with O'bannon et al.

Moreover, if it does violate the settlement EA could NEVER tell you the consumer about it (virtually all settlement agreements have non disclosure clauses)

True but if you are going to include the game on the list to be voted for and if the game is in the top five pages and has one of the highest comment counts... you better be prepared to state WHY the game is not going to be backwards compatible. Simple solution... don't let people vote on it. Not all xbox games were listed.

Hell, they could take a step back. Instead of rating every player, focus on position groups. Rate each position group 1-10 and that'll determine where the randomization occurs. ( Alabama's rbs would be ranked as a 10. All of their rbs would be randomly ranked between 75-99, for example)

It's such an easy decision to make and the game would make a profit if continued.

That's another excellent point. If memory serves EA's contract with the CLC has expired and/or was terminated when the lawsuit was ongoing. I doubt EA is paying for a license it can no longer use in a video game.

Therefore, the NCAA/CLC could sue EA and MS for using their logos without their permission.

Its just a can of worms that someone at MS didn't think through and I suspect MS and/or EA suits have quietly put the axe on this one ever coming to XB1.

I think Rudy/CLW is on point in regards to the CLC license.

The list itself is pretty telling. 104 games and only 4 sports/racing titles that have professional licensing involved. Also a lot of mediocre games thrown in to fluff that total. No Red Dead Redemption or GTA 4? That is a bigger oversight than NCAA 14.

Backwards compatibility is a loser for sport game publishers. They want you playing the latest and greatest with all that fresh DLC to devour. Even though NCAA is no longer being made, they would rather you play Madden 16 so you can play MUT and buy DLC.

You can always look at it as a cup half full. Maybe NCAA 14 is not BC and EA is silent because they are working on renewing licenses so they can make NCAA 2017.

I disagree. If I had a 360 I could BUY it right now on Marketplace. The game is STILL for sale for 360 online. The game is NOT being made for xbox1 it is simply being allowed to be played on an xbox1. Heck, you cannot even buy 360 games on the 1. You have to buy them online from the xbox marketplace. If the game was no longer for sale on marketplace then I would say you are probably correct but I am looking at the website and I can buy and download NCAA 14 right now for $19.99... of I had a 360. Now something like NCAA BBALL 10 is no longer for sale so I can see what that would not be backwards compatible. Personally I think this is just EA trying to keep a low profile AND have people continue to buy Madden.

I already jumped on Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition for $20 and have it downloading at home right now. An amazing game and all the DLC for only $20, when the physical and PS4 digital GOTY edition is still going for $35-$40.

I bought Shadow of Mordor for full price back in the Spring or early summer on PS4 and loved it. I'd been tempted to get it for Xbox One as well back in September and October since it was down to around $30. Now for $20, I'm game!

My Fallout 4 came with a code for FALLOUT 3. I punched in my code on my xbox1 and it said there was a problem downloading. Do I need to put the code into the xbox marketplace and then retrieve from there or should it work by putting the code into the xbox1?

jaymo, I'm betting you should do it through the marketplace or on your 360 (if you had one), then the license will be tied to your account. From there, the XB1 will then recognize it off your account and it will show up in the "ready to install" section of the My Games app on XB1.
Just a guess though.

Vegas and 4 are pretty much tied for me. Vegas had the best story (thanks Obsidian) and I will take the old conversation system any day. They did have more RPG elements but some of it was a bit of a PITA, like all the different qualities of bullets and having to repair guns. Melee weapons are one thing but repairing guns is something I will not miss. Fallout 4 was built for the masses, like Skyrim but I like the little improvements to the series, especially the new crafting and building. Fallout 3 would have been excellent if not for the ending and navigating the subway system got tedious pretty quick.

The best parts of New Vegas and 3 for me was the DLC. Except for the Mothership Zeta, which was absolute rubbish.

No, it will not let me get that far. I even have a Fallout 3 free code that I cannot redeem as it gives me an error code. I can't download any of the backwards compatible games, including the games with gold!!!

Fixed. it. Turns out that since I didn't have a 360 my 360 account was automatically set to USA while my 1 was set to Canada. I had to switch the USA 360 region and now I am up and running.

Lifetime Xbox One sales have reached 19 million units—at least if EA's CFO is to believed. During a financial call last night, Blake Jorgensen said the combined install base of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 had hit an estimated 55 million units, a mere two years into the life of the current generation.

While Microsoft has long stopped reporting on the absolute number of Xboxes sold, Sony continues to push out its own figures. Most recently, Sony revealed it has sold an impressive 35.9 million PS4s, which—when deducted from EA's 55 million figure—leaves around 19 million units for the Xbox One.

I never got around to buying Wolf Among Us or Sunset Overdrive, and I never bought Dead Space or Saints Row IV back on the 360, so this will be a great month with picking up all four games being offered. And these are all good, AAA titles being offered.

So I finally got around to downloading this last night. I really had no idea and at the start didn't think I would like it. However, it is one fun game IMO. It's totally bizarre and physics challenged but it's a lot of fun and has some great humour. The map isn't huge but there sure are a lot of enemies. Highly recommend people d/l while it's free for Gold Members.

Got my XB1 1TB and some games...

Rise of the Tomb Raider: This was the big one. Will get the season pass down the road.
Fallout 4/Season pass (repurchase but I really wanted to play with mods) just found out a day ago Bethesda wont be releasing mods anytime soon for the PS4, so this actually worked out well.
Inside, made by guy who created Limbo.
Borderlands Handsome Jack Collection: Again... but there are a couple DLC's I never finished.
Borderlands 1 from the Xbox 360: I have only played this once and was right before my final 360 shot craps, really looking forward to playing with Roland or Brick.
The Golf Club: Another repurchase but I like the devs and looking forward to The Golf Club 2.
Sunset Overdrive: This was $10 new. It looks interesting but not expecting much from it.

Took the copy of the Division out of the box and traded it in. Not going back to that game, it was fun for the single player stuff but it paid for Sunset Overdrive. Once nice thing about Gamestop is their bundles only include physical copies, for obvious reasons. Worked for me.

I really like that they have game previews now. Going to try out early versions of ARK: Survival Evolved and The Long Dark for free. Also backwards compatibility with many 360 games is great. Appears I bought quite a few digital games that are on the list. May never use it much but it is nice that it is there.

Still have to go through some of the MS Indie games to see what is available but I have plenty to play. Will definitely be getting the EA Access before Madden hits. I really missed that Xbox controller. Rumble triggers FTW! Still hate that games are packaged on the left side of the cover but if that is my biggest complaint...

Just Cause 3 XL Edition - $33.80

Evolve (would probably go Ultimate Edition since it's only $6.60 more than just the game by itself) - $19.80 for Ultimate Edition or $13.20 for base game

Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition - $35.99

Maybe Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition (only $7.50, hard to say no)

Any opinions or suggestions of which of those I absolutely must get?

Depending on which ones I buy, I'll probably only get 2 or 3 as it'd run over $150 for all of them, which is more than I would like to spend at the moment.

Dying Light is a really good game. You might want to look into Just Cause 3 to see if there are still big framerate issues on the consoles.

I'm not sure what Just Cause 3 XL contains but from what I remember, the DLC wasn't much worth it. If the traditional game is cheaper, I would probably suggest going that route... double check what's in it to be sure though.

Right now I'm probably leaning Just Cause 3 and Dying Light, then I'll look for Witcher 3 around Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I'm around 130 hours into Fallout 4 and still have a crap ton to do, so I'm not sure I'd play Witcher 3 right away after finishing Fallout.

At least with Just Cause, while it's also an open world game, being action/adventure instead of RPG, it's something I can jump in and out of quickly just to dick around if I feel like doing something but don't have a ton of time.

Yeah, Dying Light ($35.99) and base Just Cause 3 ($24) would work for me. Only end up being $60 in that case, nice and cheap for two good games, plus throw in another $7.50 for the BC RDR. And then I'll look for some good deals on Witcher 3 this winter. Sounds like a good plan to me!

Which is on the extreme low side for me. Plus the fact it's an open world game, you'll very easily find yourself off fucking around doing something completely non-quest related.

For me, I take the estimated time and multiply it by 3. I'm already over 150 hours into Fallout 4, and I'm still in part 1! I have yet to even complete Reunions and have the Prydwen enter the Commonwealth.

But of those 150 hours, I've already completed 50+ miscellaneous quests, I've discovered probably 90% of the map now, I've actually entered and cleaned out 60% of the buildings I have discovered and am pretty much to the point of having nothing to do but the main story missions.

That's a great site. I'm slower than most people so I'm closer to completionist levels on games like Uncharted and dragon age.

Bought RDR tonight for $7.49. Played 15 mins before bed. Fun game thus far. Huge mistake IMO that Sony didn't go backwards compatible.

I would like BC but I wouldn't call it a huge mistake. In fact, Sony leads the console wars and sold over 3 million copies of the UC collection. Their remasters are making good money for them that BC wouldn't allow. I think BC is more important initially and at this point I don't see it as a significant issue. I don't think most people buying consoles now really use that as a factor.

The mistake Sony made was PS Now over backwards compatibility for PS3 games. Does not matter that it is the top selling console, this was a bad decision.

PS Now is terrible. I'd never pay for that stuff. Honestly after two plus years of a new console there are tons of new games now. BC is nice but i still argue it's most important at first launch, not two years later. At this point I don't care that much.

Played RDR for about 5 hours. It's shocking that its a PS3/360 game. It competes well with a lot of 4/1 titles. The games is beautiful to look and and a heck of a lot of fun. For under $8 it's a steal.
