It's not bad. Not something I'm going to actively listen to often, but it's definitely not bad/horrible. I have a hard time with post rock bands and it's really not explainable why I like/dislike one of them when I can like one that's almost exactly the same just fine. Even when the above song crescendos at the end, I just don't get the goosebumps from it that I get from other bands that do something similar.

Giving it a listen right now on Spotify. The radio song that I heard off the album was fuckin' terrible. It was basically just re-recording Among The Living with new lyrics.

I hear their old stuff all the time on the radio. They played a little bit of their previous album when it first came out and then immediately never played any of it again.

Their song writing has become very bland. I don't know what happened, but, just like with every good old band, they decided to cut corners or just lost their muse for the music and instead are trying to go mainstream. Definitely not the Anthrax I knew anymore.

well, I dont even necessarily like everything i post, i just want to see the reaction..but are fucking kidding me ? it takes no talent on the large scale to do what the last 3 bands you posted do? and pre internet doesnt mean shit either..the internet in a way might get you some door to door sales but the fact is you need to be pushed by commercial media and radio if you want the big bucks and commercial popularity. yes, thanks to the internet, you can seach obscure stuff, but you can only search what others put on the internet..sadly, there will be plenty that disappears, good and bad because no one did the transfer..pretty soon the 50s-60s- and 70s will be obsolete dark ages to the next generations because google will be their info God and if it aint there, it doesnt exist LOL..i'm not saying the internet doesnt help, but tv is still media king and unless people see you on the home or big screen, the internet is still underground C level popularity.

I post stuff that is considered valuable music history, the stuff youve posted wont be remembered 6 months from now

I saw Tool last night. Crazy good. The whole show was centered around the drummer. I've never seen anything like it. I don't even know who the drummer is but he's a beast. He looked 8 ft tall and 400lbs up there. Maynard was in the shadows the whole night while the drummer was pretty much center stage with all the lighting focused on him.

And, I have GREAT respect for the Dead Kennedys and what they did for underground music as well as the political side of things in the 80s when EVERYTHING was totally fucked (kinda like now, but in a way different way), but damn are they hard to listen to. In what was a strange moment today, maybe still some remenants of NyQuil in the system. I was thinking to myself that Killswitch Engage should go back to their original singer Jesse Leach. So I go to see what's up with the band, and come to find out about three weeks ago, they announced that he's back with the band 10 years later....that was kind of my holy shit moment of the day.

"After much deliberation and careful consideration, we are pleased to announce that Jesse Leach has rejoined Killswitch Engage. Our job was to find the best person to fill Howard's shoes: a decision based on talent and not familiarity. Truth be told, Jesse blew us away in auditions. The room seemed charged with electricity. He commanded both new and old material, and proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he wanted to do this. The choice became very clear and apparent. "


Jesse Leach also commented on his return to the band,

"It is a great honor to rejoin my brothers after all of these years. After some discussion and much reflection, it was obvious to me this was the path I was meant to take. Here is an underrated one that I've mentioned before. I just recently bought the (now 6-year-old) 20th Anniversary version of this album and it takes me right back to Junior High, lol. Not to mention, this thread can always use a little testosterone after ram posts. ;)

Just got the new Slash album with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. Gonna give it a listen now. The first track kicks ass, I figure the rest of the album will too. Myles Kennedy is a f'n awesome singer. From Alterbridge originally and has been touring with Slash for the past two years or so.

What can I say besides I listen to this stuff so I don't fuckin' murder the idiots around me? I found out long ago that it helps and haven't looked back since (sounds way whiny emo teenager of me, but, music is my love and I couldn't imagine not listening to music as much as humanly possible).I hear you. If it wasn't for Sevendust, Cold, Staind, and other bands of that ilk that helped me get through high school, I'm not sure I would have made it out.
