View Full Version : Dynasty - First Round: Medical Redshirts vs. AD Mode
As always, vote for the item you prefer. However, also state how you would like both features implemented into the game and indicate any specific elements you would (or would not) like to see added for each item.
Medical Redshirts
A feature added to last-gen NCAA Football late in it's life cycle, in Dynasty Mode this would allow players to attain a redshirt year (Medical Hardship Waiver) if injured before playing in two contests/dates of completion or 20% of a school’s scheduled games (whichever is greater).
AD Mode
Giving the user more control over off-the-field aspects of their program, this would allow them to improve their school’s recruiting pitches (budget and focus on certain aspects of school/team), schedule contracts, ticket prices, facility upgrades, etc.

With the too-small rosters allowed in the game, medical redshirts is needed in order to help bolster roster depth which is VERY IMPORTANT in college football. Fuck AD mode until medical redshirts (and ultimately larger rosters hopefully someday) are included.

i went with AD mode because i rarely experience a season ending injury occuring to a starter in weeks 1 or 2. however, a MR would be nice for when that injury does occur, but it hasnt occured enough for me to want em yet.
AD mode would be nice if it was tied to other features, like coaching carousel, in which you could negotiate contracts. for stuff like improving facilities, those kind of upgrades should be a major milestone to reach, and not just something you could add onto every year.

I lost my starting QB two seasons in a row by game2. Lost my starting RB in week1 in one of those seasons.

I would want Medical RS, but I dont really have major injuries in 1st two games. Plus I usually keep a servicable backup anyway. But I would REALLy want rosters expanded. I hate having to cut players I want.
I chose AD mode. I see that as a chance to boost Recruitng pitch.

Not really looking for control of ticket prices and things like that. Improvement of facilities and things like that makes sense but I don't want it to be a totally seperate dynasty type, it should be apart of the regular dynasty.

When I think of AD Mode the only thing I think of is the ability to hire/fire/replace coaches rather than take other jobs as a coach; basically follow the school instead of the coach. Setting ticket prices and budgets would ultimately end up being another redundant novelty that would quickly get old.

Exactly! Medical redshirts is so limited as compared to what you can do with AD mode.

Had a monster 3 seasons with my WR. Started his senior year only 317 yards away from the all-time NCAA record and he goes down in the 2nd game of the year, lost for 11 weeks!! The cpu LOVES to do crap like that to me!! Uggh!! Yes, bring in the medical redshirts, PLEASE!!!! I spent enough time trying to get him to stay all four years to have the cpu cheap shot me and lose him like that!
