As always, vote for the item you prefer. However, also state how you would like both features implemented into the game and indicate any specific elements you would (or would not) like to see added for each item.

Coaching Carousel 2.0

One of the most welcome additions in recent memory to NCAA Football was Coaching Carousel in NCAA 12. After a solid start, many users are clamoring for the mode to be deeper and more enhanced in the future.

Among the top community requests:

Real Coaches: Acquisition of the coaches’ license to utilize names and faces of all FBS coaches.
Ratings for Each Coach: This would help differentiate coaches, particularly throughout Dynasty Mode. Possible ratings could include: Recruiting, Player Development, Playcalling, Aggressiveness, etc.
Enhanced Face and Apparel Options: The customization and editing options for coaches in NCAA 12 were considered among the worst aspects of the mode. More face and hair options as well as more apparel choices (sweatshirts, houndstooth hats, licensed clothing, etc.) would give more uniqueness to each coach. An additional option could be the inclusion of the GameFace feature from Tiger Woods PGA TOUR franchise to help add more customization to the user experience and possibly for CPU coaches.
Position Coaches: Each program would have assistant coaches at each position that could ultimately (if Coach ratings added) help develop and aid in the progression of players.
Ability to Hire/Fire Coordinators: One of the biggest complaints within the mode, this would give the user an option as head coach to hire and fire their offensive and defensive coordinator(s) as they see fit. Also, this could include an option for the head coach to watch all plays, relying on the OC & DC to call plays with the HC having an option to provide feedback or override playcalls.
Free Agent Pool of Coaches: An option that would add more storylines to the mode, this would allow users to edit and add coaches to the free agent pool. For example, instead of generic coaches being added, users could edit in former/fired coaches who would then reappear throughout Dynasty Mode as assistant and head coaching hires.
In-game Presentation: Each game, career records (and possibly the pursuit of significant win totals) would be shown and/or discussed. Conference, National Championship, record versus Top 25 foes, record versus foe, etc. are among other stats that could be reflected in overlays and/or commentary.
Coach of the Year Award visible in award section: Currently this is a winnable award, but it does not show up during the season to track status and contenders.
Coaching Tree: As years rack up in Dynasty Mode, this would show where former coaches with ties to each coach move and progress to. Successful head coaches could then take pride as they see their ‘coaching tree’ expand across college football.
Backstory: This would keep a record of coaching records at each stop in a coach’s career.
Dynamic Coach Contract goals: Relative to Playbook and Play Style, this would see Coach Contract goals based upon playstyle. For example, an Option team would have more goals focusing on rushing yards. Goals could also have their own difficulty level to help reflect the differences between novice and experienced users.
Coach Personality: An option within coach editing, this would give coaches a ‘Personality’ style that would be reflected in any and all cutscenes showcasing the coach. These could include ‘Calm,’ ‘Stoic,’ Intense’ (Bo Pelini, Brian Kelly), ‘Figurehead’ (no headset, Joe Paterno).
Ability to watch all CPU plays continously until coordinator duties return versus one play at a time.

Online Dynasty “Bookmarks & Continue” after Disconnect

It’s one of the most frustrating things that can happen in an Online Dynasty game...late in the game, a user is driving in for the score or is trying to hold onto the lead - and connection is lost. Do they replay the game or let the sim gods dictate the outcome? This feature would have each game score, situation, and stats sent to EA servers at certain intervals, such as between quarters, after each score, etc. Should a disconnect occur, this would allow users to resume the game at virtually the same point where the disconnect occurred or they could replay entire game or let it be simmed (as it is now).

Definitely CC 2.0. I would like to be a Run-First Coordinator and give my RBs a boost in ratings and my QBs a decrease in OVR. I like how CHOOPS was where when you went to new schools, your assistants followed you. I would love to sign my own preferred coordinators. I would like to create them and have them with me throughout career.

CC 2.0.

As limited as coaching carousel was in NCAA12, it still added to the longevity of my dynasty. Norm Chow took over doormat UNLV and turned them into a 10 win team in only two seasons before bolting for an HC job at his alma mater Utah and Monte Kiffin left USC to become the HC at UCLA; things like this made me care about what was happening at other schools rather than just focusing on my next opponent.

COACHING CAROUSEL... last year was a good start but this year I want to be able to hire/fire my OC and DC. Also, I would love them to add special teams coach.

i dont think we need a whole coaching staff implemented....however, i would like the coordinators and head coach to have a position and/or scheme familiarity, as well as the ability for the head coach to hire/fire coordinators. this would aid in progression much like as described, but it would add more strategy as you could choose how you want your team to develop.

say the head coach was a former qb coach and the OC was a former wr coach. this combination would offer the best progression in the passing and catching based ratings. however, it would also see very minimal, if any, progression in running based ratings, while the o-line would progress at an average rate. you could even tie in the kind of offense the coach used to be a part of and tie that into the progression of different ratings (ie: wr coach from a triple option offense could see increased blocking, catching, and catch in traffic progression.... whereas a wr coach from a run and shoot offense could see increased awareness, release, and most catching ratings). a coach though, should only be able to affect one side of the ball (mike leach, as a head coach, only affect the offense, whereas monte kiffin, if he took a head coaching job, would only affect the defense).

similarly for defense, hiring a monte kiffin like coach, who preach a certain scheme, could see increased progression for zone coverage ratings for all positions. you could also have the position type of coaches as well, with one position being a strength while other(s) suffer (ie: d-line coach. d-line progresses all around faster than what the secondary/linebackers progress).
