As always, vote for the item you prefer. However, also state how you would like both features implemented into the game and indicate any elements you would (or would not) like to see added for each item.

More Authentic Player Details

With nearly 8,000 in-game players, more unique editable details can help make each player stand-out and have their own visual identity.

Among the options:

More varying hair length - Shorter dreads, long hair, curly hair, along with various colors. Along with this could be easier player model application. Instead of needing a certain ‘player face,’ hair could be its own option for each player, just like equipment.
Secondary Team Color Equipment - Several teams (Florida, for example) have an incorrect color for any equipment item using ‘Team Color.’ With ‘Secondary Color’ this would have apparel option using the other primary team color.
Pink Equipment - As part of Breast Cancer Awareness, more players in 2011 have started to wear pink equipment ranging from towels to wristbands.
Eyeblack
Global Team Equipment Editor - This feature would allow users to set uniform and equipment options for all players as well as incoming recruits. For example, this could allow users to set new Home and Away uniform combinations (among in-game uniform components) and default helmet, sock, shoe options.

More Authentic Team Entrances and Mascots (Live & Costumed)

At the heart of almost every program is a unique team entrance tradition as well as a unique and endeared mascot. Currently, NCAA Football has done an excellent job of portraying major programs but many fans of smaller or non-BCS programs feel their school has been ignored. This would see the addition of the 30+ missing primary mascots for each school (as well as updating the handful of outdated mascots) and incorporating more authentic team entrances. Many small schools use similar design and presentation elements found in larger programs, which should make it easier to include at least some accurate entrance elements to the vast majority of schools: inflatable tunnel/helmet entrance, sign tap, touch item, smoke, band/fan tunnel, team flags, live/inflatable mascot runout, mascot on motorcycle, player sledgehammer/flag carryout, etc.

More Authentic Team Entrances and Mascots (Live & Costumed)

I know that hardcore roster makers would love to have all of the extra player details available to them, and I can appreciate that. But if I'm casting a personal vote in this match-up, I want more entrances and mascots so that the traditions of college football--one of the facets which defines the sport--are better represented in the game.

i'm not big on player details or equipment so i picked more team entrances and mascots.

I am going with More Player Detail here.
I usually skip the Team Entrances. After seeing most of the pre-release, there wasnt much I havent see. I would like to see them have new faces this year after having same faces for 3 years. Seeing players differentiate from each other would be great. I liked the body edit in MAdden. You could edit definition.

More player detail. I have been skipping teams entrances since the second day of owning the game. Birds and cars get old very quick. I will rather have more player detail, as it is now, too many players have the same body type, stance, running style, catching style, throwing style, jumping style and tackle style. Need way more variation.

More Authentic Player Details

I MIGHT watch a team entrance once, after that it is skipsville.

I'm an Ohio State alum, and I even skip their entrance and pregame after I've seen it once or twice. Adding in more player details would improve your immersement with your team.

Completely agree, which is why I went with Team Entrances and Mascots as well. Well said Paakaa.

I gotta disagree with the bracket makers on this ;)
Can I vote for neither here and then vote for both in another matchup? I don't see either of these as more than icing on the cake that I'll either skip after the first couple times (Team Entrances) or not really get into or notice (Player Details). I would much rather have both improved atmosphere and improved stats or better celebrations and dynamic weather than I would to have either of these. Those brackets were a tough choice because I want both. This is a tough choice because I don't care much about either, so I didn't vote on this one.

Went with player details. Along the same lines as most, the entrances are cool but after you see them a couple of times most people skip by them. While I'm not a die hard roster guy, Global editing is something I've been wanting for a long time.

Player details... I tend not to watch the intros after the first couple times.

While I'd love to see more entrances and mascots, only one of these has a tangible impact on my overall gameplay, and that's the ability to globally change equipment for dynasty players (or on an individual team's roster, I suppose). It's annoying enough to do with freshmen on a year to year basis, but caused me a lot of headaches (and tedious work) when I was dealing with my 1995 Buckeyes in Online Dynasty. A global change would allow me to set one consistent helmet style, accessory level, etc, that I can at least use as a common template.

Dislike both but I DESPISEthe "dreads people" with every fiber in my body. Thus, I vote against anything to do with hair, shoe laces, cup sizes or whatever is their latest craze.

Going with mascots and intros just because I usually play with minor teams and most don't have intros or mascots.

Went with more authentic player details as I usually just button through the entrance.

More player details is pretty important, but I went with More entrances/mascots here. I'm all about wanting the atmosphere of these games to be more spot on with the real life atmosphere of College Football. I would love to Boise State enter Bronco Stadium with their sledgehammer and fog.

Equipment/player options are definitely needed. I'm not a helmet expert, but I trust the many community members who have been disappointed in the lack of full helmet & facemasks options and there are still lots of gear options missing from the game. Anything to help make each player visually unique (and establish an identity in that regard) would be beneficial.

I voted for Entrances & Mascots. These are arguably the two most important universal traditions for all FBS programs and something fans of every program recognize. For fans of non-BCS programs, it would seem that not having these would put a dent in the experience when playing with their favorite program (or at their rivals/conference foes).

add some old school equipment as well..theyve already put entrances in and those should be an expected thing not worth needing to be voted on...just make reall /as close as possible entrances for the top major 20-30-40 schools and make 5 types of generics to spread around for the rest

Why am I not surprised. Just because you don't think any of the teams outside of the top 20 or top 40 are worth a damn or worthy of any time spent on them in the game, doesn't make them any less worthy of having accurate, detail entrances and mascots for them. Just because you don't give a damn about New Mexico State doesn't mean their fans shouldn't be allowed to experience their entrance in the game just because they're not national power like Alabama or something.

thats not the point, I dont want to have to buy what ever next gen thing ASAP..I dont know how much space and junk they can use on these versions..and I dont want to hear how great they can arrange the eye candy as much as I want to see they get the core stuff right to begin with..I dont care about new entrances if you cant get playbooks and on field execution consistent etc

I too want to see them get the core things right, playbooks, on field execution, etc. But the way you put it, saying that only the top 20-30-40 teams should get accurate or close to accurate entrances, and give all the rest of the 80 teams some random 1 of 5 generic entrances just doesn't fly with me. Those other 80 schools have lots of fans too who should get to experience everything in the game that they do on Saturdays with entrances and game day traditions. Just because they're a mid-major team playing in the Sun Belt, the WAC or MAC or elsewhere, doesn't mean they should not be allowed to have their true, accurate entrances like those top 20-30-40 teams, regardless of whether or not you don't want to have to buy one of the new next-gen consoles ASAP after they are released.

I'm a HUGE equipment guy so I'm going with the firs choice in the OP. Some of the things that were mentioned should have already been implemented and think some more details can be added to make it even better.

Such as but not limited to:

Team apparel (wrist bands, gloves, towels, etc)

Brand apparel (Nike, UA, Adaids..socks, wrist bands, etc)

More cleat options for each brand (especially Nike Vapors where the main color is reversed, as well as the mainly different cleats options for UA and Adidas)

More glove options for each brand (especially for UA and Adidas)

Mouth pieces

Loose jersey sleeve option (mainly for Qbs)

Better looking jerseys, especially for the "tight sleeve" option. What happens is the jerseys look weird and the numbers actually blow up when you pick that option. The jerseys should fit the player model much better. Also, the logos on the shoulders should be smaller so that it is still visible (see example below) Especially when watching college football and you see teams with the Adidas Techfit gear (as well as Nike, and UA).

Real tight sleeve jersey option the guy on the far left (my little brother BTW the way ;))

319

On the game, the logo on the shoulder is a bit cut off and not further up on the shoulder like you see above. This is something small, but again, I'm a guy that loves the details of the players and how they look.

Duplicate numbers! Oh man, would love to see this.

Good post CDJ and you are right about the helmets and facemask options.
