    Two questions:

    1) When running the triple option vs. a 3-4, does the "read man" ever crash? Everytime i watched he just stood up and didn't commit. Does he ever crash? Hope this question is clear.

    2) Does Indiana have the pistol this year? I thought Kevin Wilson (ex-Oklahoma ccoordinator) took over.

As for the flexbone, yeah he crashes, everytime I kept the ball with the QB he was crashing. Against the 34 you read the 5-tech defensive end for the dive and the OLB for the pitch. One big thing everyone will notice is that the fixed all the option plays so that the correct defender is being read.

Yes, that was their default playbook in the video here: http://www.thegamingtailgate.com/for...ll=1#post75979

Yeah I guess everytime I was looking for him he just stood up. Thanks for the response.

The post route at the very end of this video is the kind of WTF play that I'm talking about in zone coverage. The defense looks like they are in some kind of Cover 4 play, so the MLB should have a hook zone assignment, and instead he runs out to the flat (which was already being covered by a different player), leaving the middle of the field wide open.

Not sure what's causing those kinds of problems to trigger.

The 4 verts play at the 1:10 mark is pretty scary. Stop it at 1:13. Basically every receiver is wide open. Neither CB even attempt to jam their receiver and they are essentially out of position to defend the streaks as soon as the WR gets 10 yards downfield. The MLB passes the inside slot receiver off with no other threat crossing his face. And neither safety has gained proper depth to take away a deep pass.

4 verts right now is a play I fear seeing the most right now when playing zone. The deep safeties aren't covering it correctly and the underneath defenders aren't carrying the seams.

The unfortunate thing is that we heard quite a bit for the past 2 months about how zone defense should be much better against precisely that type of play. And given that 4 verts was so overpowered last year, you'd think they'd have spent more time making sure that zones reacted properly to it.

They are turning them loose way to soon and as you said rhombic and Oneback those safeties are not deep enough to be a threat to take it way.

I'm not sure who told EA that the main problem with zone defense was the flats, but I wish they'd tone down the aggressiveness here. Flats weren't even that big of a problem last year. On third and long, a completion into the flats is not a big deal, so long as the defense then rallies to the ball and limits YAC. You will almost always rather give up a completion to the flats than something further downfield over the middle or down the sidelines. The main problem with zone defense on this game has been, and continues to be, reactions to routes from 10 to 25 yards downfield, mainly over the middle, but also towards the sidelines in certain instances.

After watching these videos I am now afraid to control anybody other than the MLB on defense. Just seeing some really strange AI there.

Believe me this was brought up to all the devs the day the demo came out, and again once we got the retail version.

I think its exactly as you said...there is an over aggressive need to respect the flat, all the zone defenses are playing outside in, instead of inside out and leaving he middle of the field open. In this case the linebacker should have carried the seam and played a low shoulder technique with deep help from the safety.

You know what is weird, last night I saw some packages that they stayed with them longer but I'm not sure what they were. I'll play around tonight to see what they are.

I apologize, I forgot that you requested night time so it just used my system clock (which was from 15 minutes ago) so it used an afternoon daylight.
Was this ever put up, or did I miss it?
