1. Tropico 4
2. Grand Ages Rome
3. Lego Batman 2
4. Port Royale 3
5. Madden 13 (half price after all the patches)

It's so good, right? As a game, it's nothing special but as an experience, it's valedictorian of its class. Top notch.

My list isn't that long. Don't even think I've owned 5 games this year. Even if I did it would still remain the same likely

This year I'll buy God of War and BioShock since I love both of their series. Oh and GTA.

I typically don't go over 4 video game purchases a year. Especially since son was born. Don't have the time as majority of my time I do have is invested in Madden every year. The off time from that is with Tiger and the Call of Duty release.

So while searching to see if there was a dedicated thread for XCOM, I stumbled back upon this thread. After making some new purchases since my original list, I'm going to redo my top 5.

1. The Walking Dead (nothing else comes close #1 for me)

2. Halo 4 (the closest any other game could even hope to get to sniffing the #1 spot)

3. NCAA Football 13 (13 has become the longest/most seasons of dynasty that I have ever played, dating back to at least '04. Has some issues in it but I still had a blast and am slightly sad to see its days (and my days at Tulsa) dwindling down as we near the release of '14)

4. FIFA 13 (have had a lot of fun and spent a lot of hours in career mode with FIFA, especially now that I'm out of the MLS and am balls deep in European soccer)

5. Black Ops 2 (picked this up for very cheap via the Microsoft Store with my $10 off code from the Xbox One reveal, the campaign is alright, only actually four missions or so into it, zombies is alright, multiplayer, meh in the few matches I've played. 99% of my time in BO2 is spent in Custom Games, where I have been having a blast with some of the different game modes and game mode variants that I have created, along with weapon loadouts. Custom games will definitely keep me happy when I get the itch for some mindless FPS gunfights)
