I have no problem with them going around putting money in expired meters as their own personal "fuck you" to the parking enforcement and the city, but this is where it goes over the line from good/wonderful to bad for me:
You go from doing something good for your fellow citizens to being a bunch of punks and thugs. The suit accuses Cleaveland and five others of videotaping, taunting and intimidating its parking meter personnel.
The alleged behavior includes chasing officers on bicycles, shouting insults and accusing them of stealing people’s money. One officer became so stressed that he complained of heart palpitations and began having nightmares about the group, according to court papers.
Yep. The original act was great, going around and saving people from getting parking tickets. Hey, good for them, that right there is a great story to read. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as it could have been and should have been due to them being a bunch of, essentially, jackasses about it. Do the deed, leave the cards, save some people from tickets, feel good about the work you're doing and leave it at that. There is no reason whatsoever to go around taunting, harassing and intimidating them, chasing them around on bicycles, etc. Keep doing the good and leave the other crap out. Unfortunately the good their doing takes a big hit in my opinion of them just because of the extracurricular crap they're doing towards the meter personnel.
It comes right out of the opening of Cool Hand Luke. Great idea, poorly executed.

The video doesn't do it justice... better to read the article first, then watch the video.
Great story. Kinda made me teary eyed for my two labs, Bonnie & Clyde, who are up at the Rainbow Bridge.
