    Ohio State Buckeyes 2016 preview

After a sub par year the Buckeyes are looking to rebound this year. Coaches knew coming into 2015 that it would be sort of a rebuilding year, and thats exactly what it was. Finsihing the year 9-4 was not something the staff wanted after going 12-1 the year before. But with QB that hadnt had much PT before then they knew it was going to be a rollercoaster. This year looks to be a better year as the team only lost 7 upperclassmen last year.

    QuarterBacks
The Buckeyes are returning RsJr Lorenzo McNeal this year. McNeal started all 13 games last year and is poised to have a better year this year. The main thing McNeal has said he wants to work on is his decison making, "The game was fast to me last year, I made mistakes and a good many of them. Towards the end of the year I was seeing the field better and making better decisions. This year my goal is to throw for 3000 and rush for 700+." said McNeal. Behind McNeal RsFr Brain Jones, Jones hasnt seen much action because the Buckeyes like to have one QB play. Jones is suited for this offense and the staff has no doubt that Jones can come in and run the offense if something happens to McNeal.

    RunningBacks
The Running Back position was a mixed bag last year with as many as 3 Rb getting PT in everygame. The Buckeyes return everyone from last year and look to focus more on the running game this year. Matt Walker returns as the teams leading rusher last year but mainly because he got the load of the carries. Walker doesnt posses that HR threat that some of the other backs get but he is a bruiser and doesnt go down easier. Scott Johnson was the change of pace guy and provided something that Walker couldnt. The RB position looks strong and the team hopes to lean on this group this year.

    Wide Receivers
This is a solid group who is electric and can score whenever they have the ball. With the depature of Riquan Southward, McNeal will look to Jr Kevin Love as his go-to guy. Love has done alot of things in this time here, he has thrown the ball around some, lined up in the backfield also. Look for Love's role to continue to be what it was last year. Jonathan Parker (JR) is the guy who will line up in the slot, he is quick and shifty and knows what to do with the ball in his hands. Kurt Malone (So) will see his role increase also this year as he has a better understanding of the offense and will move into Southwards spot this year.

    Tight Ends
This group is the weakest on offense, losing Nick Vannett is going to make this group take a step back. Will Daniels will do his best to fill in for Vannett. Daniels played a good bit last year when the Buckeyes lined up with two TE's. Daniels is quick and can cause issues when lined up on the outside. Behind Daniels is FrRs Adrain Woods who is more a pass catching TE and will see most of his snaps inside the 20.

    Offensive Line
We are excited about this group of guys here. Led by SrRs' Joey O'Conner (RG) and Kyle Dodson (C) this group of guys is ready to pound on some defensive fronts. These guys are a balanced bunch that will allow the McNeal and the offense to keep defense's on their heels. Look for SrRs Taylor Decker to split time between RT and LT to provide some depth.
