Year 1 is done (Thank God!). That 2-10 record is the exact reason I switched from a Coach Mode dynasty to a cpu vs. cpu dynasty. If you recall the first time I made this thread before having cdj delete it, the original dynasty was in Coach mode. I went 7-6 including a bowl win with practically the same schedule (I played Utah instead of Arizona the first time). It’s definitely going to be a much harder dynasty just because I see playcalling alone vs. the cpu makes a world of difference. My HB led the team with 80+ receptions because the CPU must’ve called a screen on every 3rd down. I had to make a whole new playbook without screens for S2. Since we’re all on the hot seat going into the season, making some changes seems like a realistic thing that coaches would do to save their ass. The new playbook isn’t the one I’ll use personally if I ever become HC but it’s based off of the HC’s original playbook.

It wasn't as bad a year as I was expecting! You almost had another two wins against Oregon State and I forget who the other team was.
Definitely something to build on for next season.
Meanwhile Southern Miss chokes under the pressure in the CCG against Arkansas, lol.

Ouch, lost essentially your entire offense there in the offseason, with the loss of a QB, HB and two WRs. Or were those backups? Looks like the QB was a backup based on your returning leaders.
Meanwhile, 2-0 against Kalispell! Always nice to start the new season off with a win. Also once again guarantees you'll not go winless, which is always a positive.

The QB returns. He started as a freshman over the senior. The new starting HB was HB2 last year. WR1 graduated but WR2 is still here as a senior. The O-line and TEs took the most damage. Had replace 3 starters on the line and all 3 TEs.

Alright, so you still took a beating, even though you have your starting QB for a while yet. It always sucked when you would lose half your offense to graduation. Made things suck the next season trying to build a new offense with lower rated freshmen and backups.

The 4th quarter comeback was fast and furious. Was down 24. Scored 2 TDs and got the 2-pt conversions to get within 8. Scored again with under a minute to go but failed the conversion. Onside kick went AFA’s way and that was that.
Gibbons (Scrambler QB1) is out for the next 3 weeks. He runs waaaaaay too much. Samson (Balanced QB2) is a much better passer and doesn’t take off all the time like Gibbons buts he’s noticeably slower. Gonna watch how the offense performs the next few weeks. If it clicks, I may keep Samson in.
