I'm still trying to figure out
A: Why you even give a fuck. You have made it clear you will have nothing to do with MS no matter what they do, so why you even care what they do I have no idea. Your opinions on anything they do mean literally exactly zero as they don't give a single fuck about you since you are in the "will never be a customer regardless" category.
B: Why Madden being a monopoly is terrible, but Sony being a monopoly if MS ever dropped out of the console industry would be such a great thing. Sony has repeatedly made retarded decisions when it comes to various thing like EA Access, and they have made multiple retarded design decisions with their UI and set up of the PS4 software where MS does things infinitely better and more gamer/user friendly.
But of course I know not to expect logical responses from you because you have Sony's dick so far up your ass.
Meanwhile, I get to enjoy the best of both worlds because I can have fun playing on both consoles since I'm not some retarded console war fanboy who blindly hates one company just because they're company A while blindly deepthroating the other company so much it'd make a fucking hooker blush solely because they're company B.

It would be really nice to have cross play across everything. Business wise it makes sense for the leader to not play nice and force people to buy their system to have the most access to people. It's the same reason we have timed exclusives and all the other crap. Exclusive deals are always bad for the gamer. I would have loved to see how good 2k football and Madden would have been by now.
Which is why this whole wanting MS to fail thing is so goddamn stupid. There is literally zero good that could come from Sony having a monopoly in the gaming console market (sorry, but Nintendo is not and would not be a serious contender so Sony would essentially have a monopoly). The gaming community would only end up fucked over in the end.
And on topic, for the love of God, I'm starting to hate Sony when it comes to E3. Enough of the goddamn VR bullshit. VR can go fuck off already.

Absolutely. The worst thing ever would be for either company to drop out. I don't even count Nintendo really. And while Sony is kicking MS butt currently I doubt MS is losing money. The PS4 is selling incredibly well compared to any console in history but MS still has over 25M sold. That is still big and I'm sure they are making money.
And VR is a bust. Who plays those games? Only 2% of the user base has VR. Why would I develop for such a small number. All those cords, mediocre equipment at a high price. No thanks. I don't know anybody that has it.
Damn I can't wait for Detroit: Become Human to release! I was already instantly interested last E3, but watching this has just amped that interest up 100 fold. I love the games where every decision you make can completely change and affect the outcome of the game. You finally get to feel like your choices and actions in a game actually matter for a change.

Still on the fence about Destiny 2. I played the Destiny beta, but never bothered getting the full game when it finally released. Granted at the time Destiny came out, I was extremely multi-player averse as the time just because the multi-player community is multiple games were so toxic at the time.

I've never been a big fan of games like Heavy Rain. The Detroit game looked interesting when I first saw it but I don't think that's my type of game.
I'm also looking forward to the Horizon Zero Dawn DLC that was shown at the beginning of the Sony presser. I'm enjoying Horizon so damn much already right now, any future DLC is an automatic for me.

No, it actually does not. Is Sony going cross play on a game that has been out since the beginning of time going to hurt their sales? Not a chance. It also does not really benefit MS as pretty much every other person on Earth has bought a copy already. The only person who loses out are PS4 gamers and those on other systems that want to play Minecraft with them. Also the PS4 Minecraft SKU will not be the same as the one for Win 10, Switch, XB1, etc. So they may even lose certain content down the road due to their arrogance.
This is the same thing with Rocket League. We could have a much larger userbase of players to play against but Sony still continues to say no.
Sony likes to say no to things that would benefit their customers, myself included. They are just lucky their first party games are so damn good and that MS keeps clusterfucking new product announcements.
Just CLW doing his thing. At the very least he should not be allowed to post in the Xbox thread. As Smooth has mentioned he has no desire to ever purchase one and only posts there because he loves childish console wars and is generally right about 1% if the time in regards to his thoughts outside of Sony Systems. Like the Nintendo Switch being a total failure. They failed right into a ton of sales and money.
Funny thing is Destiny is the least toxic multuplayer game I have played. People were always willing to help out on Raids, special events, etc. Now some of that has to do with their help also benefits them to a degree. Not like Rocket League which is the most toxic game out there (bear in mind I have no played Overwatch or WOW which are both fairly bad from what I hear). Rocket League is so bad you get more shit from teammates than you do the opposition and the higher up the ladder you climb the bigger the dickheads you will find.
So to be honest, a rather boring presser from Sony for me. Only three or four games that I cared about, once again Sony repeatedly shoving that stupid VR bullshit down our throats half the conference, no big or flashy announcements or surprises, and Jesus could that crowd have been any more dead and silent all conference. Every time they showed the audience, literally just sitting there staring at the stage or staring at their phones/tablets/laptops. Could barely hear any applause almost the entire conference.

Forgot to mention that Sony is currently doing some gamer days sale for E3. I got MLB The Show at Gamestop for $39. and they had No Mans Sky and Uncharted 4 for $19.99.
Yep, I already snagged NHL 17 for $9.99, FIFA 17 for $15.99, MLB 17 for $39.59 and Mass Effect Andromeda for $34.99.
Add on top of that that I'm only half way through Horizon Zero Dawn, and have Friday the 13th as a game that I can and will jump into at literally a moment's notice and have it suck away entire hours of my free time, and I should be set until October/November (other than two or three big name games I've been planning on buying when they release later this summer).

Didn't see all of Ubisoft's presser, but from what I saw I don't think anyone had a great showing. Lots of solid games but wasn't really wowed.
As for PlayStation, it seemed to end short like last year but not quite as abruptly. Last year, people seemed confused and wondered if there was a technical issue with a final clip. I did like Bethesda & PlayStation not relying on long, awkward developer segments. That made it easier to get interested in a clip and keep the showing from seeming to slow down.
So far Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus has been my favorite showing. Some of the things in the launch video would seem odd to those who have not played the other two games from this gen (New Order and Old Blood).
Ubisoft has a new IP Skull & Bones which is just a naval battle game based off of AC Black Flag battles. I don't know if you can do a whole game like that though.
Bethesda is going full Rockstar Games (GTAV) with Skyrim.

The Elder Scrolls 6 isn't in development. It's third on Bethesda's list of priorities.
“They have at least two major titles they are working on before we’re going to get to Elder Scrolls 6,” Bethesda’s Pete Hines said last night, while showing off more of The Evil Within 2.
