Though, despite some saying a CFL game by EA is "implausible," Madden devs did make a CFL game internally several years ago. My takeaway/impression is that they would make or release one if they thought demand would be there.

I just can't see the demand for a standalone game. Maybe a deluxe package or DLC option. Just hard to see where the profit would be. But I could imagine people enjoying the extra passing.
I have heard this rumour for close to 10 years. That being said... I would preorder that bad boy as soon as it was announced. 92 Lions and Doug Flutie all the way!
Madden Mobile currently has a promo with former CFL/NFL greats and CFL teams have been promoting it via social media today. I don't know if a CFL game is in the works, but there is definitely some sort of relationship (marketing for sure) between EA & the CFL.
