Interesting to note that XB1 is selling the most on the majority of shooters and PS4 is selling the most on all of the sports games.

I may be mistaken but I believe NPD does NOT include game sales from bundles which could easily explain away the COD and Star Wars XB1 #1 with as there were PS4 bundles for both so if you bought the console new and wanted one of those shooters you probably bought the bundle.

Correct, NPD does not include bundles.
