I'm not so sure about that. The start of this season was the easy part of the schedule. This is only going to get worse.

On a different topic, Brent Grimes wife and loudmouth radio host got arrested before the game after an altercation with cops.

Don't worry, it was only all for the "drama'z", nothing more.

It would have been of any of the following were true:

    1) Pittsburgh's 3rd kicker did not suck.

    2) Ben Roethlisberger was healthy.

    3) Todd Haley was not a douchecanoe and gave the ball to Bell on 3rd & 2.

    4) Mike Tomlin ever learned how to manage the clock.

    5) Todd Haley was not a douchecanoe and gave the ball to Bell on 4th & 2.

    6) Bruce Gradkowski was healthy.

    7) Pittsburgh thought outside the box and ran the Wildcat with read option between Bell and Williams.

    8) Mike Vick were still in prison.

    9) Todd Haley was not a douchecanoe and gave the ball to Bell on 3rd & 2.

    10) Mike Tomlin did not think, "Vick my boy. We from Virginia."

    11) Landry Jones was not completely worthless.

    12) Todd Haley was not a douchecanoe and gave the ball to Bell on 4th & 1.

    And on and on...

I wholeheartedly support the multiple uses of douchecanoe. Both the perfect description of those play calls, and just an overall great and fun word to use and say.

That Vick sweep was a great call. In 2003.

    Yep.

I've only used it 5 times. 4 in the post above and 1 in a text to Eric tonight. All 5 were used to describe Todd Haley. I think I'm going to save it for him.

Talk about missing a chance to put a nail in the Ravens coffin. I didn't see much of the game but I had tuned in when it was 20-7 and saw the Ravens climb to 20-14 and then miss the fake FG try. Vick just isn't a good passer. He's never read the field well, has no concept of timing and as a result takes a ridiculous number of sacks for someone so athletic.

The NFL just does not have a good group of QBs as backups. If someone goes down there are very few teams that can be confident in #2. What I don't understand is guys saying they need a development league. While we did get Kurt Warner out of NFL Europe the NFL didn't even recognize Warner's ability. He was cut and left off the Rams expansion list (but wasn't taken) and only got his shot after Trent Green went down. They are terrible at recognizing and developing talent. Just use the CFL. I'm kind of surprised teams haven't done more of that. Moon, Theisman and Flutie all came from the CFL. Henry Burris was tried but never given a real shot. I'd like to see teams be a little more open to them. If Zach Collaros hadn't wrecked his ACL I wonder if an NFL team would have come calling. Only 27 and operated the spread at Cinci. Bo Levi Mitchell is a 25 year old QB from Eastern Washington doing well with Calgary. Could be an option.

It does suck when you have to turn into video game tactics of going for it on 4th downs because you don't have a capable or reliable kicker

Tucker confidently strutted out and nailed multiple 40 yarders and a 50 yarder for the win.

I'm not sure the Steelers are even confident theirs can make the PAT consistently for fuck's sake. And he even nearly missed the 2 FG's he did make! Granted 1 was partially blocked.

Unfortunately I see him playing a part in even more losses this season. Remember he also missed 2 in the first week as well...which were kind of big also

Also on that QB Sprint out that failed. If the blocking were the same it wouldn't have matter if Bell, Bettis, Franco Harris or anyone got the ball there...the way the Oline got manhandled on it

Not going to happen. Scobee will be cut today. Guaranteed. No way you can keep him when you have no confidence in him. Not much out there but a warm blooded body can do just as good.

Pretty much. One thing to expect misses from unknowns than to get them from someone you don't expect to miss them...but have to because well..he keeps missing them

Scientifically, they should've been going for it anyway.

Oh I agree should have been going for those but even if the FG's were closer I imagine still wouldn't have sent the kicker out given his perchant for missing kicks already in this early season.

All things considered still feeling good about this team this year.

All-Pro Center is out, QB is out, Bryant has been out past 4 games, Bell was out 2 games, 3rd kicker of the season before Week 1...and still should be sitting at 3-1 right now and had numerous chances against New England with an out of sync Defense
