    Multiple HDMI ports into 1?

Hey guys getting my "media room" setup at least for awhile until we get the rest of the rooms setup and I go all out on a theatre room.

I was messing around and didn't realize I could watch cable tv on my 27" computer monitor that I game/serf with. Unfortunately, the monitor only has 1 HDMI port.

Instead of having to constantly pull one plug out and put it back in is there a device where I can plug in my PS4 and Cable HDMIs into a box and then have a single HDMI source go to the monitor and just flip a switch or something?

I am looking online and all I am finding is 1 HDMI in and 2+ HDMI outs.

I need 2 HDMI ins and 1 HDMI out.

As always any help is appreciated.

Here's what you're looking for... this one is 4 in / 1 out but that allows you to add more devices later if you want.

They also have 2 in / 1 out but it can't be controlled by a remote if you need that.

Sweet. I'm having the exact same problem. My TV only has 3 HDMI ports. I have my 360, One, PS4, DVR, a blu-ray player. It's come to switching out cables between my One and 360.

This is what I'm using in my living room. It's worked well so far. Main thing to know on it is that it automatically switches when something turns on (that was previously off), so if you have a device (like a DVR) that's coming on automatically at set times, you may switch when you don't want to.

That wouldn't be a problem for me. I keep my DVR hooked up to its own exclusive HDMI slot 24/7 on my TV. Same with PS4. Only things that get changed are 360 and One. I could live even putting PS4, One and 360 on a switcher and not have a problem with auto switching since I'd only be using one system at a time. Then I could get my blu-ray hooked back up directly to my TV.

Yeah I think I'm going with the Kinivo 3 port switch (because I really only have the PS4 and cable box hooked up now).

Just waiting for Prime Day to see if the price drops even further.

On a semi-related question my CPU also has an HDMI port but I've always used DVI into the monitor to avoid this "issue". Does anyone know if DVI or HDMI produces a better picture quality?

They're essentially the same. The only benefit from HDMI is that it includes the audio with it whereas DVI requires audio from a separate source.
