    New XBOX 360 Controller Coming - Nov. 9th ($64.99 w/ Play-N-Charge Kit)

New controller is coming....and here's the before and after of the new and (hopefully) improved D-pad:

    It can go from this:

    To this:

Where the disc drops down. The vid below has Major Nelson talking about it:

In addition to the new d-pad, the matte silver controller also features concave analog sticks and gray A,B,X,Y buttons for added style.

The controller will only be available with the new Play & Charge Kit that will launch on November 9th for US $64.99.

I'll be all over it, but not sure at $65....it's an okay price (for retail) considering the play-n-charge is with it. We'll see how the wallet fares after every goodie that is coming out in October.

That is WAY to much to pay for a controller. That's nuts...

The D pad on the ones now aren't even that bad (this is coming from someone that regularly uses a wired one for a PC controller).

It's basically $45 for the controller as retail for the play-n-charge kits are $20.

Yeah, but the thing is, who doesn't have the battery packs to use with them now?

Plus, I don't care for the play-n-charge kit. I want a wireless controller if I'm going to be paying $45 for the damn thing (especially when for the $65 price I could get 2 more normal wireless controllers on Amazon plus the battery packs).

it is a wireless controller, the play and charge is nothing more than a charger unless you just leave it plugged up, and that price point is honestly what controllers are going for on ps3 and 360 around $45.

yeah exactly...I never have the thing connected while I play....I just use it to charge the battery. New controller should use a new battery as it is....so I don't have a problem with it.

My friend who has a 360 ... pretty sure she's never disconnected the controllers.
