LSU takes down Georgia 52-40 in a scorefest of a game.

The game started out with both teams playing solid D, although Georgia easily drove down field inside the redzone off their effective HB Screen game that we usually love CPU Offenses using. Luckily the Tiger Defense held them to a FG. Then the Offense answered with a 6-yard TD pass to John Davis to lead 7-3.

In the 2nd quarter both Offenses would settle and start to put up points as both teams traded FG's then Touchdowns later on. Jeff Mosley hit John Davis on a beautiful deep ball that the 6'-7" Davis easily won the jump ball and stretched across the goalline with only 1 second before half to lead 17-13.

LSU tacked on another TD later in the 3rd quarter on a 17-yard reception to John Diggs. Some stout Georgia Defense however would help add a quick 14 points for the Bulldogs as they picked Mosley off two times, then scored in 3 plays on less on both ensuing possessions to lead 27-24 going into the 4th.

Both teams would almost trade scores in the 4th quarter as LSU looked to put the game away scoring 2 touchdowns, both by RB Donovan Gray from 32 and 4 yards out respectively to lead 38-27. The Bulldogs had something else in mind as they scored a quick touchdown to make it 38-33. After the failed onside kick, LSU scored shortly after on a short touchdown pass to Davis to once again try to put the game away, 45-33. 28 seconds later, Georgia would answer again easily to make it a 5 point game, 45-40. Another failed onside kick would occur and LSU added another score to finally put the Bulldogs away 52-40.

Jeff Mosley continued his turnover filled ways throwing 3 interceptions. He finished 19-28, 276 yards and 4 touchdown passes

RB Donovan Gray was stellar on the ground, rushing for 246 yards on 29 carries with 3 touchdowns

John Davis chipped in 8 receptions, 171 yards and 3 scores

On Defense, Sophomore Gil Bryant continues to impress as he recorded his 2nd (2) interception game. Disappointed this isn't his Freshman season after his redshirt status did not hold from last year. All-American Nathan McGrew added 2 sacks in the game.

Next LSU travels to play Arkansas in another SEC matchup.

Ohio State grinds out a win against Wisconsin. The Buckeyes decided to give Junior QB Jason Roberson a try, and it was pretty much a disaster. Roberson displayed the same first-half passing struggles that Torrance Gibson has been plagued by, and threw two interceptions before being pulled. Gibson wasn't much better, but at least he led the Buckeyes on several scoring drives. HB Kris Davis was the catalyst of the game, rushing 18 times for 162 yards. Davis also recorded at least four touchdowns for the second consecutive game.

Heading into a bye week in Week 8, with a date against Minnesota in Week 9, the Buckeyes need to figure out their offense, and quickly, if they are to be ready for the season-ending contests against Oregon and Penn State.
