The Commish finishes the pre-season 3-1 after taking out the Gus-less Jags 24-17. I felt this game was pretty good. Still too many face mask penalties and every kick is a touch back so perhaps just a few tweaks and we might have a good set to start the regular season.

The Bucs finish off an undefeated regular season with a 27-17 win over the Redskins. It was a close game most of the way until I finally pulled away late in the 2nd half. An 80 yard TD run followed by an INT is what did the Skins in. New Bucs owner Vincent K McMahon is pleased with how his team has looked in the preseason. He has opted to keep the team in Tampa Bay for this season, so hopefully the fans share his excitement and come out to see what should be a winning team.

Good game Snoop. We always seemed to have good games in NCDub. It's good to see that translates to gen4 Madden.

How many plays did you guys run? Any slider comments/suggestions?

I ran 50 plays he ran 46. I know he had an issue where he didn't the right playbook so that probably added time to his playcalling. I was aslo slow at times to call plays cause it had put my starting RB in at WR cause we are down to 53 man rosters. I was constantly having to go into substitutions in various formations to get him out after I realized it.

As far as sliders, I stick by the recommendations I made back in the week 2 thread. I think there are a lot of broken areas of the game with the current setup. I still think minimal change to the sliders from default is the best way to go. But I am fine if you keep things the way they are. I can adapt to whatever the setup is. For example, the QB Acc slider is set to 6 but I still completed 22 of 24 passes. Making it lower won't change that number, making it higher won't change that number. I will just manage what I am capable of and take what the game gives me.

You can't throw the ball down the field JB. You just have to not do it with the accuracy as low as it is. You have about a 5% chance of completing anything over 10 yards cause it will end up nowhere near your WR. The only thing that will work is screens, slants, drags and zigs. The one chance you do have throwing it down the field is when the coverage completely breaks down and you can lob it in there, cause the lob gives the WR enough time to adjust for the horrible throw.

Exactly how I play. I did go deep once hoping I would catch your safety cheat the run but I threw into cover 2 and an easy pick.

Otherwise i really play small ball.

Yea, the one ball I threw over 10 yards you picked off too.

I was throwing mostly short passes. Routes were just getting jumped. My backup sucks though. Bradford was 3/6 so that isn't "turrible".

Doesn't help that Zac Stacy got hurt in the first preseason game either, and is probably out the first four weeks. That's why I went out and signed Michael Bush to back up Tre Mason.
